Who Is This Communist?

Why it’s St. Reagan, former union boss, praising unions. What a communist!

Partial transcript from Shoq Value:

But restoring the American dream requires more than restoring a sound, productive economy, vitally important as that is. It requires a return to spiritual and moral values, values so deeply held by those who came here to build a new life. We need to restore those values in our daily life, in our neighborhoods and in our government’s dealings with the other nations of the world.

These are the values inspiring those brave workers in Poland. The values that have inspired other dissidents under Communist domination. They remind us that where free unions and collective bargaining are forbidden, freedom is lost. They remind us that freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. You and I must protect and preserve freedom here or it will not be passed on to our children. Today the workers in Poland are showing a new generation not how high is the price of freedom but how much it is worth that price.

Has someone shown this video to Scott Walker? He’s the one who cited Reagan’s firing of the air traffic controllers as his justification for removal of collective bargaining rights.

  1. Joe American says:

You may not have noticed, but free unions and collective bargaining have not been forbidden in Wisconsin. Indeed, the pubic employee unions in Wisconsin under the Walker plan have more bargaining rights than federal employees under the dictatorial regime of Barack Obama.

I realize that my attempt to insert a few FACTS into your two-minutes hate against Walker and the Koch brothers may be inconvenient, but I’d like to believe that thee are some intellectually honest folks who drop by here and my be interested in a more balanced presentation on the matter.

  2. Aoine says:

@Joe – Im just wishin that the people that stop by here simply READ, period Below you stated:

” more balanced presentation on the matter”

What part of the blog title did you miss? the “delaware” part or the “liberal” part?

In the ABOUT section of this blog is ts stated very clearly:

” And yes, we are liberal, progressive and Democratic, and thus, our take on events will, unlike our mainstream media, have a liberal bias”

SO what was your issue again??

  3. Joe American says:

I’m sorry — I thought there might be some intellectually honest people here who might like all the facts on the matter brought forth for their consideration.

I apologize for not recognizing that what you really want is an echo chamber where inconvenient facts go down Orwell’s memory hole.

  4. Geezer says:

“free unions and collective bargaining have not been forbidden in Wisconsin.”

You’re one to talk about intellectual honesty. This is only barely true, and I assume you know it.

“Indeed, the pubic employee unions in Wisconsin under the Walker plan have more bargaining rights than federal employees under the dictatorial regime of Barack Obama.”

I’m sure that’s the reason Walker wants to break them — because he stands in solidarity with federal workers.

Look, if you want to peddle horseshit, that’s your business. Don’t try to tell us you’re a recycled fertilizer specialist.

  5. Joe American says:

Where are your protests about the even more limited rights of federal workers? Where are your condemnations of Barack Obama and his administration’s violations of workers’ rights?

Oh, that’s right — he is the Chosen One (and black, too), so criticism of him is just not something to be done when there is a republican to bash.

  6. MJ says:

As a Federal employee, I can say with all honestly that Joe doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about. What rights of Federal employees have been taken away?

  7. liberalgeek says:

Joe is a troll. It is possible that he is paid to throw spaghetti against the wall on liberal blogs to see what sticks. For now, I’ll just ignore him, but it may require more action if he sticks around…

  8. Jason330 says:

Where do I apply for that job?

  9. Geezer says:

He has already said he’s from Texas, so what he’s doing here is anyone’s guess. Considering reports that people are indeed being paid by right-wing sources to troll liberal blogs, I suppose that’s a possibility. But it could be there’s a shortage of liberal blogs in Texas for him to waste his time on.

  10. Von Cracker says:

So who is going to clean up all that unused brain matter that exploded everywhere?

Unionists, brown immigrants, and Irish need not apply!

  11. pandora says:

Sheesh, if we have to have trolls couldn’t they send us one who’s clever and funny?

Actually, I don’t think he’s paid. I think he doesn’t have much of a life. It’s really sorta sad.

  12. Von Cracker says:

A clever Teabagger? Better luck finding a jackalolpe up Newt’s arse!

Now that doesn’t mean you won’t find something, be it another type of animal, vegetable or mineral, you just won’t find a jackalope

  13. Liberal Elite says:

    “A clever Teabagger?”

Oh yea. There are some smart ones. They can be very smart, but those have no problem abandoning veracity (except for its pretense).

  14. anon says:

If Raygun were around today, the baggers would be stoning him or at least calling him a “socialist, communist, misfit and unfit for office”. Is Joe the American a take off of Joe the Not so Plumber.

  15. skippertee says:

    Up Newtie’s arse?
I’m thinking a fur bearing trout.
That guy projects all the warmth of a Siberian winter.
