She Won’t Go Away

Filed in Delaware by on November 11, 2010

People ask – why do we keep writing about Christine O’Donnell? The answer is that she’s still having an impact on politics in the state (see “Night of the Long Knives and Pitchforks” for an example). She appeared on Jay Leno’s show last night and confirmed that she’s thinking about running again.

Leno asked O’Donnell about her future plans, and if she might run for public office again.

“I don’t know if I will run again. I want to keep that option open,” she said.

O’Donnell said she isn’t interested in returning to the talk show circuit she frequented in the past. “I did the pundit thing, and that’s what got me into trouble in the first place.”

She said she regretted that her controversial comments overshadowed what she was trying to convey on the campaign trail. She maintained that she was a “kid” in the ’90s, when the comments were made.

”It was a ministry opportunity, more than a political statement,” she said of her former talk show days.

Like her role model Sarah Palin, O’Donnell is considering a book deal and reality show offers.

“I’m not necessarily interested in a reality show,” she said, unless the show dealt with issues that impact peoples’ lives, such as the 30-minute ad her campaign produced. She specifically mentioned her opposition to the “death tax,” the estate tax that will likely be reinstated January 21, 2011.

I can’t wait for a heartwarming show about the suffering of the upper 1%. Unless, of course, the upper 1% includes the W.L. Gore family who is evil and tries to make money off of science. That must not be allowed. I’m sure there’s some Kochs that are ready for their close-up.

Why do Leno, Bill Maher and Fox make guestworthy, someone who’s recently lost an general election by a 2:1 margin, took 15 years to earn an undergraduate degree and never had a real job ?

Let us speak no more of this person.

The truthful answer is that Delaware Liberal is addicted to O’Donnell. Like Palin, she is a cognitive opiate that they use to avoid facing and discussing the ongoing destruction of Democracy and freedom in America.

Who is having a bigger impact on Delaware and America: Obama or O’Donnell?

How many DL posts discuss Obama? Virtually none.

How many DL posts discuss O’Donnell? Dozens.

    Case closed.

Obama is making some horrific mistakes! Why isnt DL taking him to task. Bold Progressivs have a great article about this topic. If progressives are going to win any battles, we have to start speaking our for our desires and not cowtow to the corporate democrats, of which I believe Obama is absolutely one. His entire record has been caving the republicans.

Good advice Anon, but will your own take you up on it? Time will tell but so far I have seen none of that happen here.

Give her one month. By Christmas, we will never hear from her again.

until it is time to run for senate again. Those bills aint gonna fraudulently raise money by running a grift and cheating stupid rednecks out of their paychecks themselves.

  12. Aoine says:

All I want for Christmas…..is Christine O’Donnell gone

on her broomstick, back to New Jersey

    OR

under Federal indictment by a grand jury – n owonder she didn’t spend all her campaign money – she bank-rolled over a million for the legal fees she knows are coming

oh GOD….she’s never going away, the case will be in Federal District court and TNJ will be covering it.

    We’re doomed

She has to keep running and will. I do not know how much money she has in her fund, but I am sure it is enough to live on until the next election lottery.

  14. Paratrooper18 says:

as of 10/13 O’Donnell had this many reasons to run again..

    Ending Cash On Hand $1,360,328

And I am sure she raised a few more million in the last few weeks of the election.

At least she paid her staff this time, and her sister and mom.
