O’Donnell 30-Minute Television Ad to Air Tonight

Wilmington, DE – The Senate campaign of Christine O’Donnell will air a 30-minute televised special tonight at 11:30 p.m. on Delaware Cable Channel 28 and on http://www.Delaware28.com. Campaign spokesman Doug Sachtleben released the following statement about this special broadcast:

“Every day during this campaign, Christine has talked with Delawareans who are weighing the issues and deciding how they’ll vote on Tuesday. Tonight, we want to show you some of those conversations and take you behind-the-scenes of our campaign.

“Tune in for the compelling stories of your neighbors; the households, business people, and farmers who will face the brutal reality of higher taxes and dramatically increased utility bills if Chris Coons is elected. You’ll also see why Christine is surging in the polls just as Election Day approaches.

“If you only know Christine O’Donnell from the distortions of the mainstream media, you need to watch this television special for an unfiltered look at who she is and where she stands on the issues that matter to Delaware’s voters.”

The Christine O’Donnell special will air on Delaware 28, cable TV in New Castle County at 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, and again at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday, November 1 and Tuesday, November 2. It will also air on WBOC, times to be determined.

The 30-minute ad did not air last night. The next promised time is at 10 AM today. So, what’s up? Why didn’t it air? O’Donnell should have plenty of money – didn’t she have millions in her account?

Also, at the Tea Party Express rally yesterday, Sarah Palin didn’t show up. She really didn’t have any celebrities show up. Is the Teapublican establishment backing away from O’Donnell?

From her website last night: “Okay… this is NOT our show! Must be a programming mix up. We will get back to you…”

  2. anon says:

It’s not on now either! AND another one of her treasurers quit–5th one in two years–one of them needs to come forward and give up the dirt on what she is doing with the money–it obviously isn’t good. I am honestly excited to hear her concession speech, I expect nothing short of a conspiratorial crazy blasting of the incompetent Delaware voters.

  3. Polemical says:

COD’s ‘commercial’ disconnect is a harbinger of the future if she’s elected tomorrow!

Why would they come forward now when they can come forward in a tell all book and make a million dollars.

  5. Polemical says:

    PREDICTION for COD’s ‘Concession’ Speech:

    1. Blame the mainstream media for smear campaign
    2. Blame anyone and everyone for ‘Gender Bias’
    3. Blame the ‘Establishment’ GOP for not supporting her
    4. Blame DE voters, calling them ‘sheep’
    5. Blame her AD campaign for ‘poor’ management

  6. anon says:

    PREDICTION for COD’s ‘Concession’ Speech:

Will beckon for her minions to step on each of our heads.

    Alternate version:

Will claim she won all three counties, and board Amtrak with Tom Carper.

  7. Will she attend Return Day? There’s a lot of non-supporters that will be there. We know she doesn’t like to sully herselves by interacting with the rabble.

FBH, you are starting to make an uncharictaristic ammount of sence. I guess getting teabagged by Delaware Politics (DP hehehe) gave ya some new insight!

Anon, you may be on to something…. what are these teabaggers going to do when they lose? as far as COD is concerned, we cant just beat her at the polls. After she is defeated for senate, her finances msut be looked in to. Too many states (more than 0) are going to elevate teabags to power… we need to crush ours completely.

    Her latest Tweets:

10:30: “Dirty politics again? I’d like to think the County run station really did just “forget” even though we reminded them this morning.”

10:12 “This isn’t our show either! We are told channel 28 “forgot” to air it…both times… even though we paid for the time slot last week.”

  10. Aoine says:

question is – when she loses – will she submit to God’s will”

will she see the voice of the people as God telling her…”lady, you are not me and don’t speak for me”

or will she just snap her fingers and have a sraffer pull out her ak-47???

    inquiring minds want to know

  11. a.price says:

    one of 2 things happened….
    1) COD’s campaign filled the work wrong and thought that just because they WANTED their ad to air it would and are now pissed because things didnt happen the way they wanted them to.

    2) they did it on purpose so they could accuse another media outlet of plotting against them.

reminds me of Randy NoZe and his lack of a license….. because he doesn’t believe in bureaucracy and NOT because he is a giant fraud.
    fraud.

  12. a.price says:

Aoine, my guess is she will demand a list of everyone in delaware and who they voted for so she knows who to sue.

  13. MJ says:

“We know she doesn’t like to sully herselves by interacting with the rabble”.

UI – she IS the rabble.

  14. heragain says:

My favorite phrase is “unfiltered look.” Might need that on a T-shirt.

  15. Aoine says:

Just pulled this tidbit from a DP poster not friendly to them – might want to be careful – pass it around the community….

“NOW – EVERYONE BEWARE – DELAWARE POLITICS PEEPS AT IP ADDRESSES TO OUT BLOGGERS – DO NOT USE YOUR FRIENDS COMPUTERS, DO NOT LET THEM USE YOURS

BETTER YET – NO ONE POST IN HERE AND SHUT DP DOWN!”

  16. Aoine says:

@a.price – maybe that is why DP is looking at IP adddresses?? to see who ruined her chances?? who she can sue?

on another note – I wonder if God will whisper in her ear “Christine – STFU!”

she is beginning to remind me of the car in the Stephen King novel/movie…….. relentless and vicious

  17. Jason330 says:

Thanks for the link. Sounds like it is for people who already like ODonnell. Iguess they needed to burn off some cash.

  18. MJN says:

the childishness of most of this commentary is beyond belief….

  19. Aoine says:

    @ MJN – well in a true 2nd grade spirit – don’t like it leave…

  20. a.price says:

MJN wants us to grow up and talk about mice with human brains, death pannels, and kenya

  21. Aoine says:

her supporters had a “failure to launch” AGAIN

……maybe coz the “waxing tend” passed her by?

or was it the ladybug costume??

  22. Aoine says:

    I don’t wanna grow up- I’m a Toys r us kid…..

nor do I play well with others

War of words ensues in Delaware after TV exec hits back against O’Donnell
    By: CNN’s Jeff Simon

(CNN) – In the process of trying to motivate her base and convince last minute undecided voters to cast a ballot in her favor, Republican Christine O’Donnell has entered a war of words with a local television executive – and may have lost his vote in the process.

O’Donnell purchased eight 30-minute blocks of air time in Delaware last week, four of them on a local cable network operated by Tim Qualls that broadcasts in northern Delaware. The Senate candidate’s campaign planned to run an Obama-style closing argument in the form of a 24-minute commercial meant to highlight O’Donnell’s ties to Delaware and build connections with local voters. The ads were scheduled to run at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Qualls’ network, as well as a local FOX affiliate.

Come 10 a.m. however, channel 28 failed to broadcast O’Donnell’s ad and the campaign blasted the station on their Twitter account.

“This isn’t our show…” one tweet read shortly after 10 a.m. ET. “We are told channel 28 ‘forgot’ to air it…both times…even though we paid for the time slot last week.”

Followed by: “Dirty politics again? I’d like to think the County run station really did just ‘forget’ even though we reminded them this morning.”

Qualls told CNN that the campaign was given a Friday afternoon deadline to submit the ad and failed to deliver it on time. He says he needs 48 hours from delivery to be able to put an ad on his channel.

“We didn’t receive the show until Saturday night,” Qualls said in a phone interview. “They showed up at my employee’s house…at 11 p.m.”

Qualls, who said he’s been inundated with phone calls, said he supported O’Donnell but “she’s losing my vote rapidly.”

“I hate the fact that she’s put it out there that it’s politics,” he said.

O’Donnell’s campaign did not immediately respond to CNN’s request for comment.

Meanwhile, Qualls says he hasn’t seen any money from the O’Donnell campaign, but concedes one of his employees may have accepted payment for the ads without his knowledge.

“If I don’t have any money, it sure as hell ain’t going on,” he said.

Anyone else think it’s creepy that the O’NutJob brigade showed up at the HOME of a TV station employee at 11:00 at night on Saturday to deliver her little TV show?

If that TV station had shown up at her HQ at 11:00pm on a Saturday night she would have called them “stalkers”.

  25. anon says:

Anyone else think it’s creepy that the O’NutJob brigade showed up at the HOME of a TV station employee at 11:00 at night on Saturday to deliver her little TV show?

Sort of, but I can see myself doing that sort of thing, If the office told her that guy was the only one who could make the decision, and he wouldn’t be back until it was too late to act, and couldn’t be reached by phone – yeah, I’d go find him at home. Especially if (in my mind) a Senate seat was on the line.

  26. anon2 says:

The station needed it by Friday afternoon, they delivered it Saturday night at 11pm. It was already too late and it was creepy.

Like I said, if Channel 28 showed up at O’Nutjob’s donor funded home at 11pm on a Saturday it would be a conspiracy.

  27. That’s too funny, anon2.

  28. Aoine says:

OMG in the video at 23.38 is Russ Murphy Delaware 9/12 patriot leader, extremist and birther – signer of a treasonous document, delegate to an under-ground Continenta Congress – whos LTs ( the Garcias) of Magnolia Delaware who would round up and (according to some of her supporters) shoot Mr. Rodriguez, he is the first business owner profiled in the film.

poor Mr Rodriguez – who probably does not read DP beacuse all he does is work – and does not see the lies and slander against Latinos – the “get 5 guys in pickups with shotgus and round up the illegals”. he does not realize he would be the first targeted in Sussex

poor Mr. Rodriguez, who speaks engish with a very strong accent and probably prefers to press 2 for Spanish, being from Puerto Rico

Mr. Rodriguez – who will be profiled bu the Tea Bag poll watchers because of his ethnicity and accent and his vote challenged

    poor uninformed people

  29. anon says:

I love that they insinuate that the station is county owned. Channel 22 is the county’s information channel. 28 is public access and those times are owned by Qualls apparently. Honestly, how many people would have been swayed by some 30 minute push piece? The clock is ticking to her demise!!
