  1. pandora says:

Ugh, here we go again with the O’Donnell tax yak.

  2. pandora says:

She’s now blaming the mortgage crisis on all those poor people.

  3. pandora says:

    Oooh, the death tax!

  4. OpenMinded says:

She keeps harping about how “she knows first hand” about homes being foreclosed on. I’m betting she will try and convince us she lost her home because of bad paperwork. Doesn’t matter that her “boyfriend” had to evict her within a few short months following his buyout.

I wasn’t sure I could watch yet another debate with Muskrat Mama interrupting and raising her voice. I joined the ranks of the unemployed yesterday and have had a migraine for two days. But they must have threatened her with duct tape because so far she is behaving. So far. Still, I am not getting much content from her, just more deflecting from her own lack of substance and finger pointing at Mr. Coons. I’ve yet to hear one single viable solution…to anything.

  5. Joe Cass says:

notice how she mentioned the five freedoms, then only named three?

  6. Delaware Libertarian says:

I generally like redstate, but they are slowly driving me away with crud like this:

    http://www.redstate.com/haystack/2010/10/20/christine-odonnellin-her-own-words/

Why are conservatives planting their flag on O’Donnell, instead of somebody more sensible like Rubio? Is it some male-female attraction thing?
I seriously wish all that money going to O’Donnell would go to somebody like Toomey, Rossi, or Fiorina. People who could actually make a difference for conservatism.

And this “I’m you” business is slowly creeping me out. Delaware is a diverse state. It partly explains why a government has trouble enacting the “one size fits all” approach for some issues. So if Delaware is a diverse state, how can O’Donnell be like every person in this state?

  7. pandora says:

Did she just say that liberal Democrats support her on education? I missed part of it.

  8. Joe Cass says:

    all snide, all the time

  9. pandora says:

Q: What would you do if you didn’t have health insurance?

  10. pandora says:

She is not answering the HCR question. She for CARE, CARE, CARE! Whatever that means.

  11. Joe Cass says:

    “allow doctors to lower cost”
    who is preventing THAT?

  12. pandora says:

Ah… tort reform and medical savings accounts and buying across state lines! Like a broken record.

  13. Joe Cass says:

    Coons=specifics COD=talking points

  14. pandora says:

O’Donnell: we can’t give the best care because doctors are preparing for the court room instead of the examination room.

    I’m dying here.

  15. Joe Cass says:

how can anyone take her candidacy seriously?

  16. pandora says:

    I have no idea, Joe.

  17. Joe Cass says:

Coons: excited, supportive of alt energy, procative protect enviro
COD:no wind, no oil more green than most Rs
She has no clue how energy is created and dispersed throughout the country

  18. pandora says:

Now she’s calling him a rubber stamp for the Obama/Reid admin.

  19. Joe Cass says:

and a NIMBY: no rigs off DE, but drill the hell out of elsewhere

  20. pandora says:

I feel so badly for Chris. I don’t know how you debate a crazy woman.

  21. Joe Cass says:

I hope this is the last. He shouldn’t have to endure her idiocy

  22. pandora says:

Name someone in the senate, from across the aisle, who you could work with.

    O’Donnell: Hillary Clinton

YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS STUFF UP!

  23. Joe Cass says:

Mrs.Cass just had very strong reaction to COD admiring Hillary. She scared the crap out of me!

  24. pandora says:

Go Chris! He points out that she can’t even name a current senator.

  25. Joe Cass says:

    Yeah! A Delaware Liberal!!!

  26. pandora says:

I can relate, Joe. It just made me type in all caps!

  27. anon says:

Why are conservatives planting their flag on O’Donnell, instead of somebody more sensible like Rubio? Is it some male-female attraction thing?

    D’ya think?????

  28. OpenMinded says:

I’m with you Pandora. I don’t know if I can watch any more of this. Seriously. Even though this one is at civil. (yet she is STILL interrupting) I have not heard ANYTHING new ANYTHING that makes sense.

I want to pick up the phone and tell Chris to just stop. It’s no longer about trying to get facts and solutions. It’s about watching Chris beat his head on the mic trying to make some sense out of this and seeing just how stupid and rude CoD can be.

He’d be better off to take his family to Rehoboth for the weekend and work the downstate folk, one on one.

  29. Joe Cass says:

    Go Chris!

  30. anonone says:

Hillary Clinton wrote the five freedoms in the First Amendment.

  31. pandora says:

O’Donnell: wants to raise SS age. She’s also very upset that SS benefits are taxed. Um… wasn’t that Saint Ronnie.

  32. Joe Cass says:

    its all about you,christine

  33. pandora says:

Gov. duPont? It’s like back to the future!

  34. Joe Cass says:

yeah, she was in high school in Jersey when Pete was in office.

  35. anon says:

She’s also very upset that SS benefits are taxed. Um… wasn’t that Saint Ronnie.

Yes it was. Taxing unemployment benefits was Reagan’s baby too.

  36. pandora says:

    I thought so. Thanks, anon!

  37. Joe Cass says:

“real foreign policy that protects our defense.”
    okie dokie

  38. pandora says:

    Ooh! She’s me again!

  39. pandora says:

God, that was painful. Thanks for hanging out, guys/gals!

  40. anon says:

    Anybody post this yet?

    “I’m you – except with bigger…”

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqQJB8DR_Zo

  41. Joe Cass says:

Thank you! Now we have to question what the hell is so wrong with us that we’d listen to that (person) again!

  42. pandora says:

I think V put that video up in an earlier thread, anon. Very funny.

  43. anon says:

I missed both the COD and the Sestak debates… now I have to go look for a rebroadcast of Sestak/Toomey. The liveblog on dKos sounded intense.

  44. anonone says:

Thanks for the live blog, pandora.

  45. pandora says:

UI remembered to post it. I just took advantage of UI’s efforts!

  46. Apparently this is the last debate. Thank the FSM!

  47. cassandra_m says:

    Thanks for liveblogging this, Pandora.

I just watched the Bickering clip over at WHYY — that was one of my questions from the forum! Too bad that nobody told this chick that the Delaware PUMA contingent is made up of just one person, so she wasted alot of effort there.

  48. cassandra m says:

    Yes!

She could work with Hillary Clinton. What a maroon…

  49. Who did her make-up? I don’t like it.

  50. cassandra m says:

I think David Anderson is doing her makeup now.

  51. WTF? During the bickering answer she said 56% of Delaware voters had voted for her. Doesn’t she mean 53% of the 30% of Republican voters?

  52. skippertee says:

No, I think, due to her hectic schedule, she invested in one of Homer Simpson’s instant make-up, double-barreled, 12 gauged guns.
I think she had it set wrong in her haste to make the debate.
She’s lucky she didn’t hit the whore setting.

  53. Holy crap. What’s she going on about with bandaids and bread? She bitches about spending THEN bitches that we need to spend more on the defense department.

  54. MJ says:

UI – but she beat Joe Biden.

  55. She beat Joe Biden exactly like the Black Knight beat King Arthur.

  56. Jason330 says:

What state does she live in that dictates her lightbulbs and bread usage? Was that a Corzine thing? I only watched a little, but how does Coons stop himself from just saying, “what the fuck are you talking about?”

  57. Jason330 says:

Also, is it true that she could not name a single democratic Senator, not even Tom Carper? What an idiot.

  58. Delaware Dem says:

When asked if she could name a current Democratic Senator that she could work with, she named …..

    HILLARY CLINTON.

Secretary of State Hillary R. Clinton.

    Not a current Senator.

These idiot teabaggers are so busy thinking of an answer that they are not listening to the question.

  59. Jason330 says:

Being stupid is a virtue for them. It is a sign that you are a regular person and not an elite.

  60. anon says:

Let’s be fair here, she did acknowledge all on her own that Hillary was not a Senator anymore, and said she was looking forward to working with Hillary as SecState when she (COD) was on the Foreign Relations Committee.

Now there is a scary thought – COD on the Foreign Relations Committee.

The real stupid came when Coons pressed her to answer the question about which Dem Senator she could work with, and she said “Lieberman.”

So yes, she did fail to name a Dem senator.

  61. She didn’t expand on all the Hillary for President commercials she’s seen?

  62. I’m surprised she hasn’t got more criticism for not saying she’d work with Tom Carper.

  63. anon says:

In wingnut land Tom Carper is ultra-liberal.

But hey, if you can work with Lieberman, you can work with Carper.

  64. anon says:

Speaking of Carper, where the hell is he? I admit I don’t get out much, but I haven’t seen him campaigning for Coons. Come to think if it, I have never seen Carper campaigning for any Democrat, except for the one time he jetted out to Iowa to help Biden wind down his presidential campaign.

Is Carper really that ambivalent about whether he goes to Washington with Coons or O’Donnell? Hopefully he is quietly raising money for Coons.

  65. cassandra m says:

The thing about not being able to even come up with a current Senator she’d work with is that is exactly how you know she doesn’t plan to do any work. She’s in it to be a celebrity here — governing is the farthest thing from her mind.

  66. Jason330 says:

Holy shit. I just watched the clip. I need to invent a new emotion that expresses WRF? To the tenth power.

BTW. Another casual lie. ” I got a majority of donations from within Delaware”. Please.

  67. anonone says:

Carper campaigned with LIEberman here in DE when LIEberman was seeking the Dem nomination for President.

  68. anonone says:

She is going to start her campaign for Carper’s seat on November 3, 2010.

  69. Jason330 says:

Best Coons line: My opponents approach to Social Security goes beyond having the foxes guard the hen house. She wants government to slice and dice the hens and serve them to the foxes.

  70. Geezer says:

“She is going to start her campaign for Carper’s seat on November 3, 2010.”

I’m not sure she wouldn’t be an improvement.

  71. anon says:

Carper is insidious because he works behind the scenes to turn Democratic legislation into ineffective mush. At least O’Donnell, extreme though she is, would be a walking billboard calling attention to Republican insanity.

By the same token, I just might get my Christmas present of a Dem Senate without Harry Reid.

It sucks that we have to rely on teabaggers to dispatch Reid and Castle.

  72. PSB says:

carper has been at several coons events

carper was at the al franken for coons event, and carper was at the obama/biden at grand opera house for coons event.

i’m fairly sure that carper was at one of the 3 county + city campaign announcement day events for coons

i believe that carper is at some of the high ticket price coons events

  73. anon says:

OK, good. Carper is making amends.

  74. a. price says:

Carper needs to retire. He’s a decent guy (met him quite a few time, he even remembers my name and asks about my parents by name) Who has been a politician in a bank-owned state for way too long. I think he is keeping his distance from this because he really doesnt know how to handle someone like CrazyChrissyO. Normally he, Coons, and whatever R would sit down in a conference room at the Hotel DuPont, have lunch paid for by MBNA, or Bank of America, or whatever giant is currently metasticised to Rodney SQ and work out a deal where one wins, votes right down the center and the other gets a nice job with a state agency.

  75. V says:

You can also see Carper in the background footage at the Senior Center Coons was at when Rachel Maddow interviewed him.

  76. a. price says:

he just wanted to photobomb Maddow

  77. TellTheTruth says:

Ha! Carper is worried if Chris looses his election(he won’t) Coons might be looking at his seat next time round.

  78. Delaware Dem says:

I think the minute Mike Castle lost, the Delaware Way began making plans. And I do believe that Tom Carper will announce his retirement in January, and Mike Castle will run for Senate in 2012.

The symmetry to the Delaware Way is amazing.

  79. anon says:

Castle is done. Did you see the video of his wife helping him walk upright on primary night?

    Get some rest, Mike.

If he does run, he will get his butt kicked again by some other teabagger.

  80. skippertee says:

I’m with Geez, God help us both.
Tommy Carpetbagger would do us ALL a BIG favor by retiring to good old VIRGINIA.
He’s not likely to worry about running into me THERE.
    WEST, by GOD,Virginia, maybe.
