An Open Question for Bill Colley

Filed in Delaware by on September 30, 2010

On yesterday’s show during his free-for-all 6:00-7:00 pm hour, Curly said something that I think he needs to explain: “If we don’t win this election, then there will be blood in the streets.”

Bill, we know you read our blog, so we’d like to give you a chance to explain your statement. What exactly did you mean, or were you advocating, when you said that?

Um… I think Mr. Colley’s statement was pretty clear. Not sure how he could spin that. Wow.

  2. MJ says:

Let’s be open minded, Pandora, and give him a chance.

  3. bamboozer says:

Ahhhh.. It’s a threat of violence, the classic meaning of that statement. And far worse than the famed “second amendment solution” quip of Sharron Angle.

  4. So Sussex is going to invade New Castle?

  5. Dr. Strangevote says:

He is unlikely to take to the streets. He would be winded from even a brisk walk. The danger here is that one of his listeners, some person with an unstable mind nursing grudges, might be inspired or incited to take action.

  6. Dr. Strangevote says:

Why do Tea Party types like Colley hate America, and their fellow Americans, so much?

  7. plslouise says:

Colley will take on the Chicken Houses in Sussex! Why do they hate anyone not “white”! Why do they hate our veterans. Did you know they want to cut vet benefits forcing a returning vet to prove they didnt have a “pre existing condition”. (vetnews). They want to cut out food stamps! They believe if you dont have a job your just lazy and therefore they shouldnt have to pay a dime to help out. How Non-christian. The lunatics have taken over the asylum but after the elections the republican party will have to fumigate and get rid of the loonies. If the loons continue the numbers wont be there to elect them to dog catcher. Colleys comments are right out of the KKK book. Don’t you all know how many KKKers are still left in Sussex. They come from the wealthiest farmers, some are attorneys. I know someone who sneaked into one of their meetings and he couldnt believe “who” was there!

  8. Aoine says:

after Colley explains that then Mr Towers – who is attached to:

    Senators Booth’s campaign,
    Rep. Ruth-Briggs King campign
    Chris Weeks campign

can explain his comment at the League of Women Voters Candidate Forum last night that: his “cure for the illegal immigration problem”

“shoot them as they come across the border”

Would any of those candidates, whose campign’s he is attached to like to publicly repudiate his comments???

  9. “So Sussex is going to invade New Castle?”

Oh boy, my first chance to lay down my life patriotically in heroic defense of something somewhat abstract! One state, under God, indivisible — yeeeeeahhhh! And technically I’m not even a resident yet.

  10. alyn pearis says:

I don’t know who this Colley is and maybe that’s a good thing. He does not seem like anyone I’d want to meet.

  11. jconnorjr says:

Per Mr. Colley we should all avoid Georgetown on Return day! The poor man is a delusional bully who couldn’t make it in the big time and has now failed in the “little time” as “Chrissie the meal ticket” is fast dissolving into a bad joke. Colley is the kind of guy who will take a shot at you behind your back when you are 6 feet away in the next room. Gutless punk!

  12. MJ says:

JP – did he say why?

  13. Miscreant says:

“So Sussex is going to invade New Castle?”

That would defy logic. You have nothing of value up there, and you already send us your best every summer.

“I don’t know who this Colley is and maybe that’s a good thing. He does not seem like anyone I’d want to meet.”

    You are absolutely correct.

“Colley is the kind of guy who will take a shot at you behind your back when you are 6 feet away in the next room. Gutless punk!”

I’m guessing you have no plans to appear on his show, Jr? I miss the good old (pre-controversy) days when you were a regular on WGMD. A different perspective is rare nowadays.

  14. jpconnorjr says:

The one and only time I ever met the guy was primary night. he took his bullshit shot and showed me up close and personal what a POS he is. He is an example ow why Catholic women in the 50’s should have not relied on the “rhythm” method.

  15. jpconnorjr says:

Miscreant, those were the days when a strong minded conservative could battle with a bleeding liberal and after the microphones went off could go out for a great dinner. The guy did not have the balls to shoot at me to my face (like I’m a tough target). I did what I did and have paid a price, thank God I didn’t kill or injure anybody. I have survived a little broker a little banged up but with my sense of humor and my integrity intact.
This excuse for a broadcaster is a smarmy POS who can’t find his ass with both hands and is nor likely to last much past this election cycle before he heads off to Dodge IA in hopes of scoring an interview with Mama Grizzlie in ’12

  16. Miscreant says:

I concur regarding Colley. Good to see you back in the game.

  17. anon says:

One interpretation of Colley’s statement, not espoused thus far, is that if elected, they would do away with pads and tampons; both which would have a detrimental effect upon our sidewalks and streets.

  18. CubaLaker says:

I went to school with this idiot back in Cuba (NY). Typical dysfunctional family with all the known outcomes (maladjusted whackos like Bill). I wrote a couple times on his blog…the typical insults were hurled back at me. The funny thing is he thinks I am someone else…which is fine by me.

  19. MJ says:

    Tell us more, Cuba

  20. Paratrooper18 says:

bill colley called me a traitor. because I questioned how they expected to support veterans and cut the budget and the state and federal programs veterans like me depend on.
