  1. Delaware Dem says:

Here we go. Pandora and UI are dressed in black to mourn (i.e. celebrate) the death of the Republican Party

  2. anonone says:

Doesn’t the “the death of the Republican Party” pull the Dems even more to the right? Where do you think all those moderate repubs are going to go to run for office?

  3. Aoine says:

moderates will stay moderate when they see the far right went to far rights and lost because of it

centrists do better – in the centre

for exampple look what got attached to the Defense appropriations Bill – repeal of DADT and DREAM ACT

    moderate centrist views both

the nut bagz have gone to far and now it can be seen….

  4. RSmitty says:

Anything to make you drift right, steaksauce. πŸ™‚

  5. jpconnorjr says:

I am in the belly of the beast with my buddy John Brady. Colley looks very excited. Gaffney is playing the game. The big surprise for me today was the big Sussex Flowers presence and the total absence of Potter. if this race is close it could be critical.
live blogging from my old radio place, WGOP,
    Joe Connor

  6. anonone says:

By the way, what a freakin’ disaster in New York with the new voting machines! Why, 10 years after the stolen presidential election, we don’t have national voting standards is beyond me. Oh wait – never mind – if we had federal standards, elections would be harder to steal.

  7. anonone says:

Apparently I drifted right when I supported Obomba. πŸ™‚

  8. jpconnorjr says:

unnofical results Brady is up in a few polling places in Greenwod Bridgeville

    brady
    80
    roach 75

  10. RSmitty says:

Well, A1, the good news is, you can drift back left in November when you vote for Castle for Senate. Afterall, all the commercials I heard today claim he is more Liberal (“Lib..BER..Ulllll”) than Chris Coons.

  11. Delaware Dem says:

    14 districts in

    O’Donnell 59-41

  12. O’Donnell, Urquhart have an early lead. O’Donnell outperforming Urquhart.

  13. 55-45 with 35 reporting.

  14. nemski says:

Rsmitty, what’s it like to watch your party slip away from you?

  15. RSmitty says:

25 in and tightens…still a long way to go, tho.

    Navarro jumps out early.

  16. Looks like Flowers and Navarro are doing well, based on early returns. Matlusky surprisingly close to Korn.

  17. 55-45 with 15% in right now with an O’Donnell lead.

  18. Blue Coq says:

    test….

  19. yeoman says:

I keep getting kicked off the DOE website. Damn mainstream media.

  20. nemski says:

LOL, so you’re loving the free ice cubes as the Titanic is sinking.

  21. no one special says:

Not that I don’t appreciate getting my updates from DL… but is anyone else having trouble with the Elections site reloading slow? (I assume everyone is crashing it and it can’t handle it?)

  22. pandora says:

    Via Jason330 and LiberalGeek:

Castle lost at Middletown (north of canal). Really bad news for Castle.

  23. nemski says:

very weird with the timestamps, it’s as if Rsmitty is in another dimension

  24. RSmitty says:

Rsmitty, what’s it like to watch your party slip away from you?

I’ve got a beer opened, right here ({- there, on my left). I’ve got all the party I need.

  25. nemski says:

yes nos, it’s a bit slow

  26. Holy bleep. Rollins is easily outperforming Castle. He could lose and she could win. Never would’ve seen that coming…

  27. M. McKain says:

lalala….wish I could see results. How can we not have a site capable of handling people checking it for results? yay for you guys posting updates so I’m not in the dark.

  28. nemski says:

The wackos are on the front page of MSNBC right now, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/

  29. The page is overloaded. It doesn’t look good for Castle.

  30. Blue Coq says:

Yes, DOE is always slow to load on election night. Unable to copy and paste results into DL πŸ™

  31. 37% in, O’Donnell still leads 55-45.

  32. Blue Coq says:

    31% reporting Rep turnout 9%
    OD 54.2 MC 45.8
    Urq 49.52 Rollins 46.7
    Chip 57.6 Velda 42.4

Looks like City numbers not in there

  33. DE-SEN (R) Votes
    Castle 45%
    10,572
    O’Donnell 55%
    12,727
    42% reporting

  34. yeoman says:

I’m told O’Donnell won in Glasgow (24th RD). Also, Middletown is South of the canal…not by much. I take a Castle loss here to be bad news for him.

  35. Mark H says:

jeez even the Google cache of the DOE website doesn’t want to come up πŸ™‚

  36. Most of Sussex is still out.

  37. Blue Coq says:

    65% of the vote in:

    O’Whackamole – 54%, Manpants – 46%
    Urkel 49.9%, Miss Jamaica 1963 46.5%, Izzo 3.6%
    Flowers 54%, VJP 46%
    Korn 53%, Matlusky 47%
Booth 51.4, St. Bodie Girl 48.6
    Brady 56 %, Roach 44%

  45. News-Journal has up-to-date results. 75% in. 3300 vote lead for O’Donnell. About a 1000 margin for Urquhart. Keeley is losing to Bovell with only two ED’s remaining. That’s unbelievable.

Smith edges Poliquin. Walker coasting. Williams and Bunting coasting. Flowers, Navarro and Korn look like winners.

  46. MJ says:

Kilpatrick’s lead is now 39 votes over Pornstache with 11 of 20 ED’s reporting

  47. GeorgeC says:

Castle is done… What an embarrassment for Delaware Republicans, Coons is going to obliterate COD.

  48. 81% in. Keeley’s leading. Must’ve been a typo. Hazel and Stephanie in a ‘cliff-dweller’. Urquhart’s lead approaching 1200. Looks like he’s gonna win as well. Dennis E. Williams wins. Booth edges St. Bodie Girl, not impressively. Quinn Johnson wins. Very slow results from the 24th, and no results from the 27th. WTF is going on there?

  49. MJ says:

Joe Booth has defeated St. Bodie Girl with all ED’s reporting. Booth 2157, St. Bodie Girl 2037.

  50. MSNBC called the race for O’Donnell. The Dem primary watch party cheers.

  51. anon says:

I didn’t realize Rose Izzo had 1,800 relatives.

  52. 86%. Rollins only down by about 900. Still has a chance. Looks like Bolden could win. Frankly, I’m surprised. Great job, Cass!

  53. anon says:

In the only semblance of normalcy tonight, Mike Protack is losing.

  54. 98% now. Osienski and Jaques win. Doesn’t look like there’s enough votes out there for Rollins to pull it out.

  55. meatball says:

    WOW, just WOW!

Tomorrow the blizzard of lies starts blowing our way.

  57. MJ says:

NCC is officially screwed. Coons will be our Senator and Clark will assume Coons’ position as County Executive. I’m going to vomit now. Goodnight.

  59. JG says:

here’s the math as I see it. O’Donnell can’t win in November, and Democrats will hold the Senate if Coons gets the seat.

  60. Independent says:

Sad day in Delaware that a whacko can fool the right. I thought the voters were smarter. Coons you have my vote.

  61. suzanne says:

  62. meatball says:

Coons wins, another opportunity for O’Donnell to run again in four years!

  63. dv says:

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I can’t believe it. I really, really, really can’t believe this

  64. Everyone missed the big story tonight. Rose Izzo as…spoiler?

  65. anon says:

Anon40 hit the nail on the head. County Executive Clark. God help us.

  66. JustTheFacts says:

Just reposting my prediction, because I was the only one who calld a 5 point race:

Comment by JustTheFacts on 13 September 2010 at 11:07 am:

I don’t like doing the numbers game so much, but this has been one of the more interesting political weekends and I’m going to throw out what I think might go down:

Going into the weekend, I thought there was no chance that Christine O’Donnell could beat Mike Castle. This morning, I won’t be surprised if she eeks this out. I think she’ll win by 2-5 points and this is why:

    …. there’s more….

  67. IT'S TIME TO VOTE says:
