Depends on who’s hiding in her bush.

  2. a. teabag says:

how dare you attack her sexuality like that. Typical left wing intolerance and sexism. she is too hot to be a dyke.
and mike castle is totally queer.

  3. Jason330 says:

Al Mascitti just made a great point. The Castle republicans have no real GOTV ground game. The DEGOP has outsourced that function to the Evangelicals and teabaggers.

  4. anon says:

OK, here’s the deal: Not only is Christine attractive, she is attractive in a certain way that conveys vulnerability and availability, and inspires emotions of protectiveness and possessiveness in men (dare I say “chivalry”). I’ll leave it to the scientists to describe exactly how and why. It really isn’t even sexual, except on a primitive level below awareness. Other girls are attractive in other ways that are also very pleasant, but do not pull the same emotional strings on the deep evolutionary level.

You can see this in the demonstratively protective behavior of the guys in her posse (pronounce ‘posse’ carefully, folks).

There is an implicit aesthetic and cultural expectation that what is beautiful is good. This is obviously not true, but it is very hard to shake it off.

The guys are probably not even consciously aware of what they are feeling. It takes a certain amount of self-examination, insight, and maturity for a guy to recognize when this is happening to him. Obviously her gang of thugs do not possess those traits.

And growing up with the gift of this appearance must have had an effect on Christine herself. It is part of what allows her to manipulate people into granting her positions far beyond her actual talents. You can see her use this manipulativeness in the Gaffney interview. Again, I don’t think this is something that Christine does consciously. It is just behavior she has learned based on the reactions of those around her.

  5. Matt says:

As far as I know, no one is suggesting it except that guy that used to work on her campaign.

  6. Jason330 says:

DNA is destiny? I guess in part. She could have overcome the handicap of being treated like a motherless fawn if she tried.

  7. anon2 says:

I agree w/ Anon. Great post!

  8. anon says:

I don’t think Evan would stick his hand in your camera for Mitch McConnell.

  9. anon is totally describing why some women get infuriated with Sarah Palin (& Christine O’Donnell). We recognize women who have gotten by on their looks.

  10. a. price says:

St Sarah, the Big O. Seems conservative men are willing to let stupidity, lack of education, lack of experience, lack of ability, lack of substance, and whever else slide as long as they have hotter women (onga onga)…. I guess Progressive men are just a lot less shallow.
… or we are all gay.
either way.. Did Christine O’wingnut have a steamy lesbian affair with Bristol Palin and Queen Rania of Jordan? im not saying she DID… im just asking the question. All 3 of them have yet to provide proof this didnt happen.

  11. Geezer says:

Just for perpective, remember that conservative men are willing to pay substantial sums of folding money to watch traffic make a day-long series of left turns.

  12. jpconnorjr says:

Crazy Chrissie is a wacko. She is an attractive wacko who is bright enough to use certan advantages, sexuality being one, maybe the primary one. All this does is make her a dangerous wacko. And the fact that she is as dangerous as she is gives Chriss Coons the Opportunity to get on the horn with Carper and reserve an office in November before the Janurary rush:)!

  13. a. price says:

great point… Danica Partick is an awful race car driver. (NOT because she is a woman) but she is hot, therefore the BEST one there is.

  14. Publius says:

Oh yeah, Al Mascitti knows what he’s talking about…

As to Miss O’Donnell, well, as the liberty.com video said, “that’s the rumor.” Or, as they said on Seinfeld, she’s “neat, single and over 40;” not that there’s anything wrong with that!

  15. Geezer says:

@Publius: Where’s the evidence of a Republican GOTV machine?

  16. skippertee says:

I HAVE the KAVORKA.Five minutes alone with Christine will settle this matter once and for all.Just set it up.I HAVE the wife’s permission. She’s curious too.

  17. Auntie Dem says:

    Geezer,
The Republicans can always hire a GOTV machine. Castle is rolling in cash and he can always go to the Koch brothers for more. This race is in the national spotlight and there is no limit to the amount of money the Republicans can and will spend. Thank you Supreme Court. Heck, they could afford to flood Delaware with more paid GOTV workers than there are voters in the state. It would be an expensive way to buy the race but they can do it.

  18. Atouk zug zug lana?
    NNN. Lana zug zug Christine.

  19. Aoine says:

ya’ll never heard of a “lipstick lesbian” they are pretty, feminine women that don’t “look” like most straight people think lesbian women look like…

then there is the “stromo” which is the male equivalant of that very thing…

maybe she is bi-sexual, of tri-sexual (try anything) we do knoe she is against (pleasing one’s self) because its “lust” altho that I do not get – doesn’t “lust” invlove another person??

Anon – your post just proves that her “thugs” can only think with their “little heads” and not the head that sits on their neck…so, therefore she uses her sexuality to get what she wants – last time I checked we called that a “whore”

  20. Aoine says:

so now that we have determined what she is….the debate is only over the price

oh yea – that would be a senate seat…..

  21. anon says:

Aoine – I was trying to steer the conversation away from sexuality, because I don’t think that is in play here.

  22. Aoine says:

ok – im good – just warped

  23. Jefferson says:

Nationally 40% of NASCAR fans are Democrats and in Delaware that figure is probably in the 44-46% range. Danica Patrick, who predominantly is an Indy Racing League driver, is a curiosity due in large part to her gender but also due to her fiery personality. No one thinks she is a great driver.

  24. a. price says:

Ok first of all, where did you get that 40%? second… 44-46 in delaware? ya just make that up based on your desire to make a point? or have you conducted extensive polling?
I’ve got a statistic 33-89% of people who watch nascar beat their wives. 29-63% of democrats have eaten at Buffalo Wild Wings while the others have thought about it.

Her firey personality? ever watched a Go-daddy commercial? she has the personality of a wet newspaper… a local one.. called the “herald” or something lame like that.

  25. Iowa Democrat says:

I think O’Donnell’s a right wing nut job, and I hesitate to defend her, but some of the comments from presumably “open minded” people are becoming offensive.

Do I think either O’Donnell or Castle is gay? I admit I’ve never thought of it before I read these posts. If Castle is gay, I feel sorry for him. Not because he’s gay, but because it would mean in his early 50’s he got married to hide his sexuality. I feel pity for anyone who is that far in the closet. If O’Donnell is gay, she also has my pity, not merely because she would also be deep in the closet, but because her sexuality would go against all her far right conservative beliefs.

My guess is that O’Donnell is single, not because of her sexual orientation, but because despite what many have recognized as her outward beauty she’s a nut job. She reminds me of Minnesota’s Michelle Bachman.

Whether either GOP Senate candidate is a very closeted gay isn’t important, but some of the stereotypes about gays on this thread really are demeaning (i.e. Lipstick Lesbian).

There are real reasons to mock O’Donnell, but implying she’s gay, when there’s no reason to suspect she is, not only lowers one to the level of the tea party nuts implying the same about Castle, but also implies that being gay is a negative. I know it would disqualify you in a GOP primary, but this isn’t “Delaware right wing”

  26. nemski says:

Iowa Democrat, I obviously disagree with you about the post. As far as the comments, I think they speak for themselves.

I disagree that being “gay is a negative” and those that know me, know this is not the case. The point of this post was to point out the idiocy of the argument, hence my answer to the question, “None of your freaking business.”

  27. Geezer says:

“The Republicans can always hire a GOTV machine.”

Really? You really think the state GOP has a special list of registered Republicans who would vote for Castle vs. one of Republicans in general? You think they know which Republicans in, say, the 4th Senatorial District voted for Mike Fleming vs. the ones who voted for Son of Clatworthy, and they’d drive only the former to the polls? Really? Because I don’t think they do.

  28. Geezer says:

“Nationally 40% of NASCAR fans are Democrats and in Delaware that figure is probably in the 44-46% range.”

I said conservative men, not Republican men. You do, I hope, realize there’s a difference, particularly when you start talking about the South.

  29. fatladysings says:

Iowa Dem. Thats exactly what Castle did and many people of the gay know it. This issue comes up every election season, and Castle always denies it. If Christine or the baggers wanted to get the facts, they could offer a reward of say $1,000. Time to get the gays out of the closet and get them to vote for gay rights instead of hiding in closets or marrying to cover up what they obviously think is politically detrimental to their careers.

  30. Right, Geezer, garbage in, garbage out. However, I do think Castle benefits more from high Republican turnout. O’Donnell’s hope is low Castle turnout/high O’Donnell turnout. So, people phoning registered Republicans would probably help Castle.

  31. Iowa Democrat says:

Nemski, I wasn’t objecting to the post subject, and saw it as a tongue in cheek joke, due to the tea party’s actions questioning Castle’s sexuality. It was more the comments, that were starting to get a bit offensive, like the Lipstick Lesbian that caused me to jump in. The implication being you can spot a gay women on physical appearance, except those few attractive ones.

I want Castle to lose in November, and if O’Donnell some how beats Castle in the primary I’d work night and day for Coons, because she’s a total nut job. I agree with your statement “It’s none of your freaking business.” Regarding ones sexual orientation, but unfortunately too many people, including liberals, do still harbor less enlightened views.

Fatladysings if what you say is true I would hope there would be no takers, I don’t know that Castle has an anti-gay record, I admit I haven’t followed that aspect of his record, he voted against the Lily Ledbetter bill, and that alone disqualifies him being called a moderate! But even if he has an anti-gay rights voting record, I don’t think it is right for people to “kiss and tell”, whether it was the women Tiger was with, or a guy a male GOP elected official has been with. Actually I don’t care as much if the partner in a hetrosexual relationship outside of an elected officials marriage talks, as much as I think outing someone in the closet is mean spirited and wrong.

  32. Aoine says:

when a politician takes an underhanded swing at a rival – even Castle – who I do not support then said politician ha it coming to them.

the comments where not meant to be offensive to my many gay or straight friends – simply to be offensive to O’Donnell who lies, cheats, steals and obfusticatesand uses thuggery to get her way – like a spoiled child

to try to “discredit” Castle on his sexuality was a low blow and whether rumor or not, she deserved the trashing I meant for her – not the GBLT community.

I abhor hypocricy – and for a “self-proclaimed rightous bigot” like O’Donnell to go to that level – no matter how much she disavowed it later left her ripe for me to pick.

therefore – let me be clear – sorry for any offense to anyone – other than Christine O’donnell.

and actually Iowa Dem – your post of: “The implication being you can spot a gay women on physical appearance, except those few attractive ones. ” I found offensive – there are way more than “a few attractive ones” it was not the looks I was referring to at all…but a common colloquoial term – and you should understand exactly what I meant – my comment was written so as NOT to offend. re-read how it was couched and in what terms – the meaning and message is very clear.

  33. Iowa Democrat says:

Aoine I don’t have a problem with bashing O’Donnell, I loved Rachel Maddow’s soft touch bashing last night. I don’t care about her sexuality, but it does seem that the closeted homosexual hypocrisy (closeted gay public figures who rant about the evils of homosexuality) is pretty much dominated by men. I could be wrong, but can anyone think of a single female public figure who espoused anti-gay views, be it against DADT, gay marriage, etc, that later came out as gay. No fair picking Anne Coulter, whether she’s gay or not (as some imply) she hasn’t come out. Seriously I can think of dozens of men without even trying, but not a single woman.

I also don’t support campaigns based on unfair, or untruthful claims, and I wish the mainstream media would examine ads, and call politicians of any party out on false ads.

I don’t doubt the anti-gay sentiments were reserved for O’Donnell alone, but not only is she probably not gay, but just one of those rare Catholics who accepts every “moral position” of the Vatican. Seriously who would even bring up their opposition to masturbation? She’s running for Senate how are her personal views on masturbation relevant, does she want a federal law that would ban the interstate sale of certain products?

With respect to you finding offense with my statement “The implication being you can spot a gay women on physical appearance, except those few attractive ones.” That was not intended to represent my feeling on the percent of attractive, average, and ugly gay women, but how I perceived your comment, and a few others like a. teabag’s “she is too hot to be a dyke”. I’ve never seen a study, but I bet the level of physical attractiveness among gay women mirrors that of straight women. When Lisa, the daughter of a friend, came out years ago many of my friends socially liberal friends expressed shock because Lisa’s “so petite and pretty”, as if some how having either attribute was inconsistent with being gay. They didn’t mean to be offensive, some were genuinely shocked because Lisa didn’t fit their stereotype, and a few thought it was just an experimental college phase she would grow out of, and were trying to comfort their friend. Fortunately for both of them within months she accepted her daughter’s homosexuality, and became an advocate for gay rights within her community.

  34. Jason330 says:

Interesting kos thread on this. Suggests that Coons should make a statement defending Castle.

  35. fatladysings says:

Maybe Christine is in the “closet”? who knows. There is something truly wrong with this woman. How can she speak to any womans issue. She claims to be a virgin, never had a child or a family so what makes her an expert on anything? She reminds me of Ken Melliman who plotted against gays while Bush was running for Pres and then comes out of his closet two years later.

Coons should not be defending Castle, let Castle defend himself for once. He won’t, cuz he can’t with a straight face.

  36. fatladysings says:

Anyone who lived in Wilmington in the 1970’s and went to Stella’s bar, knows the truth, just sayin.

  37. fatladysings says:

She talks wedge issues that rile people up. What is her solutions for jobs, the wars? Besides hating the health care bill what are her proposals. She wants to rip everything down but has no ideas of how to solve the problems of our time. Over her head, out of her mind, and will lose again. I will be voting for Castle. At least I know he knows how to catch a train to DC.

  38. Keith says:

Better than gay nasty Hilliary. The only people who oppose her and Sarah are jealous ugly women and ugly men who could never get the beautiful girl in school or elsewhere.

  39. waren says:

god i hope not. all we need is another queer in dc.

  40. Frederick says:

What would happen if a single man (especially liberal) were to run for Senate? He would get savaged. This girl must have some serious pent up sexual frustration, not ever having an orgasm!?

  41. jpconnorjr says:

a single man ran for state rep, senate, lt gov, gov, and congress and won every time, Mike Castle
