That a celebrity/gossip site, (Gawker) is mocking these idgits is nice. Nicer still would be ABC/CBS/NBC News mocking them. Baby steps.

Many of the protesters are the same firefighters that responded to the 9/11 terrorist attack. If you guys want to mock them, you better be ready to lay in the political suicide bed you just made.

Many of those fire-fighters…. who you should be ashamed that you would consider so stupid, they would confuse a Muslim YMCA with a terrorist training camp…. have had their health care and pensions stripped by your beloved GOP who claims to be looking out for them. I am so sick and tired of trying to give Tbags a place at the table. They bring NOTHING. They hate everyone that isn’t them, they hide behind the first amendment while trying to limit it for others. They claim false attacks on their other rights and spread outright lies about political figures they disagree with. The Tbag only slows down the discussion and causes sane reasonable Conservative voices to get lost in the din. I’m all about open discourse, but if someone CHOOSES to be a teabag, they have given up all credibility. They have made the decision to ascribe to a belief system that only rips the fabric of society apart….. and then they claim to be a victimized minority.

Many of those firefighters are the descendants of the Irish who came to NY, lived in lower Manhattan and had to fight to put up their own Catholic Churches. There was a time in NYC history when Catholics were the Muslims of the day — too bad none of them remember what it means to be left to worship as you please.
