Closing the Gun-Show Loophole Is Good Policy, Is it Good Politics?
Only a complete idiot could try to argue that the 2nd Amendment preserves the rights of mentally ill to buy guns at fly by night gun-shows, (cue complete idiots commenting below), so Mike Castle should be given credit for introducing this gun control “no brainer” right? ….

Yesterday I gave this postcard a B-. As a political direct mail piece it is probably a solid “A” It is full of info without being busy and has a clear call to action. (Read My Plan) But I’m sticking with the B- though because, let’s face it – why is Chip Flowers running for this office?

John Tobin, Delaware’s best political number cruncher, observes…
(T)he City of Wilmington, where the Democratic primary is often the deciding election, has enough registered Democrats and higher percentage points in turnout than suburban and rural areas to be a major deciding factor in statewide Delaware Democratic primaries and countywide primaries in New Castle County.
However, [...]

Something to Think About
Two questions to start your weekend – When did it become OK for people to call others faggot, n****r, spic, kike, or other racially insensitive pejoratives? And if you’re on the receiving end of one of these insults, should you have the right to smack the person across the face? When is enough [...]

I’ve Got Your Severe Weather Right Here!
As upper New Castle County dries out from the heavy rains the other day and smack into another sauna, I realized I’ve been saying this a little to often lately, “The weather isn’t usually this bad.” Seriously, after five years of no water in our basement, this year our basement was flooded three times. We’ve [...]

What We Have Here Is A Failure To Educate
Delaware’s public education system could possibly be considered a failure. No new magic bullet is going to fix the problem. It’s time for parents, teachers the legislature and the Governor to get the job done.

Tea Party Denies Claims Of Racism And Then Writes A Letter
Mark Williams, Tea Party Express Chairman, puts pen to paper to prove the Tea Party isn’t racist, and ends up proving they are. Simply stunning.

Shadow Campaign for Treasurer
There has been a rotten thread running through the Treasurer’s race this year. The thread is that one campaign is trying to destroy their opponent on the way to the Democratic nomination. This is unbecoming of the two fine candidates that are competing to battle Colin Bonini in the fall. Sadly, the force behind this shadow campaign of destruction is so close to one of the candidates that the solution isn’t as simple as firing a staffer.

We all know that Joe Biden plagiarized a speech by former UK Labour Party leader Neal Kinnock back in 1988. In fact, it ended his presidential campaign. Well, those who fail to heed history are doomed to repeat it.
It seems as though former GOP Congressman Scott McInnis has forgotten the lesson Joe learned. [...]
