The Moment of the Conference

Filed in National by on July 25, 2010

There were lots of interesting panels and great speeches at Netroots Nation this week, but the confrontation between Lt. Dan Choi who was discharged under DADT was probably the emotional highlight.

During the Q&A session with Harry Reid, Lt. Dan Choi came on stage and gave Harry Reid his DADT discharge papers and his West Point graduation ring. Harry Reid said that he couldn’t accept a ring that he hadn’t earned. Choi said it meant nothing since he was discharged. Reid said he would keep the ring until the DADT repeal was signed and return it then. Then the two men embraced. I’m telling you, there was no dry eye in the house.

With 2 immoral wars we can’t seem to end, it seems to me that efforts to allow LBGTs to kill brown foreigners are badly misplaced.

If god had wanted LGBT to kill heathens he would have created a safe place for pedophiles.

What was up with all the tweets about boobs?

  4. Heh. Just trying to make you feel like you’re there in Vegas. There’s a lot of boobs there. Plus, inexplicably some cocktail waitress will get on a table and dance or sing. It’s weird.
