Episode 2 of C’mon Delaware

Filed in Delaware by on May 12, 2010

Jason330 and Donviti have created their latest podcast.  Just like U2’s album, Pop, it is over-engineered and over-produced.  Nonetheless, it is available here for your enjoyment.

The words that Jason used to describe this episode are:

Michael Castle, Secret word, puff knuckle, RSmitty, Donviti = asshole, not haters, Stroke, Jet Magazine, Gandolf, Anson Williams, Vasectomy, Beau Biden, Delaware Dem, DelawareLiberal, Dave Burris, Sarah Palin, Prop Palin, SWAT.  David Anderson, Woodstock teaparty

  1. Delaware Dem says:

    Oh No. I am referenced.

  2. That means you have to listen, to see what they say about you.

  3. donviti says:

    i smell jealousy already

  4. donviti says:

    jason left out retard

  5. anon says:

I could barely hear donviti. Not that I’m complaining though.

  6. Jason330 says:

Yeah. We need to fix that audio. He sounds like he is in a bathroom trying to produce a court ordred urine sample.

  7. anon says:

No, no, it’s a feature, not a bug.

  8. donviti says:

    zing

  9. RSmitty says:

Wow. I won? All because I said, “You suck?” Granted, that’s two words, but I know semantics never stood in your way. Just be sure you send it to the right address this time, Jason!

Ooo, btw…those other people you sent the books to called me a few months ago to tell me they received some mail of mine, so they forwarded it. Nothing about any books, mind you.

  10. Jason330 says:

    Bastards!

  11. anon says:

    It’s Gandalf.

  12. Delaware Dem says:

I think DV is either on a speakerphone or you are recording from Jason’s phone. But, LOL Anon.

  13. Jason330 says:

So DSU is effed up and needs $7.5 million. Isn’t it Cathcart’s day job to be on top of this? Oh wait his real job is to get money for DSU out of the Legislature.

  14. D.C. says:

I love how you progressives and liberals totally gloss over donfeces’ comments about Palin’s youngest! Say what you want about Palin and her politics, but that was so far over the line it is totally inexcusable.

Do any of the contributors of this blog think making comments like that are ok? Geek? Pandora? UI? You guys are ok with saying such things about an innocent child?

I would guess that mostly everyone knows a special needs child in some capacity or another. The fact that you guys just gloss over such comments because they were directed at Palin’s child is the height of hypocrisy.

  15. a. price says:

D.C, those comments were satire… and palin HERSELF said if you make comments that are meant to be satire, it is permissible. Besides, nothing said on this or any other blog can come close ot the harm she is doing to that child be dragging him around like a big prize. I thought special needs kids needed more attention than a fame hungry whore on a book tour could provide.

  16. D.C. says:

Come on, a. price! I can’t believe you are are attempting to justify those comments. Unreal! Calling a special needs child a tart is satire?

Would you be ok with it if it were your child?

  17. a.price says:

    But, Saint Sarah Said!
Right now, it is irrelevant what I think. IF Sarah Palin, who is the mother of a special needs child thinks making fun of kids, as long as it is satire… who are WE to argue?

  18. D.C. says:

Making fun of kids in a lighthearted, playful way is one thing…this is totally different. If you can’t see that than I feel sorry for you.

Would it be ok to call Obama the n-word if it were “satire” or Barney Frank a f—ot? Of course not.

This is not satire. This is someone who disagrees politically with the kid’s mom and therefore is being vicious and attacking the child.

  19. D.C. says:

    a. price, if Rush Limbaugh openly called Obama the n-word during a vicious, scathing attack during his show, yet said it was satire, you would have no problem with that? Is that really what you are trying to say?

  20. pandora says:

First, I haven’t listened to the podcast (yet!).
Second, DC, I’m not the blog police.
Third, I hate, and never use, that word.
Fourth, I have been quite clear that kids are off the table.
Fifth, if Donviti or Jason used that word they were out of line.

Sixth, while I don’t agree with a. price’s position on this, Sarah Palin did defend Rush Limbaugh’s repeated use of the word.

  21. a.price says:

well, i wouldn’t be at all surprised if rush dropped an N bomb…. i also wouldnt be surprised if he got away with it, and then played “white victim” when there was backlash… that is what the W(r)ight wing does.

but back to what was said…

How is that any more hurtful than Sarah neglecting her kid to go make money and work for cluster Fox? If you REALLY cared about this kid, you’d have less of a problem with what 2 irrelevant (i mean that with love don and jason) bloggers say and more of a problem with what the mother is actually doing…. or rather not doing.

Isnt it worse to feign offense for political gain?

and for the record, yes. I think it is crossing the line just a touch to say “trig is a retard-baby” (although sources have credited THOSE words to Saint Sarah herself) I just hope his mental condition and age are such that he isn’t aware of the prop he has become. that is the really sad part.

  22. Geezer says:

Conservative outrage alert! Conservative outrage alert! This is not a drill!

Funny how sensitive these fuckers become when one of their own is on the receiving end.

  23. a.price says:

and pan, my “position” was mostly sarcasm to get a rise out of DC 🙂

  24. anonone says:

    This whole discussion is retarded.

  25. liberalgeek says:

DelawareLiberal has no editorial control over the podcast. The creators of the podcast are solely responsible for their views and opinions.

There was, in fact, a long thread in which Donviti was bashed for his use of the word. If you would like to know anyone’s view on the use of the the slur, please see:

    http://delawareliberal.net//2009/08/08/qote-52/

It even earned a brand new blog dedicated to eviscerating donviti. Sadly, that blog never got past its first post. Good times.

  26. D.C. says:

    a. price, I don’t support her dragging that kid all over God’s creation! I never said that. I think it’s terrible. But back to my question:

If Rush Limbaugh openly called Obama the n-word during a vicious, scathing attack during his show, yet said it was satire, you would have no problem with that?

  27. donviti says:

in all fairness DC i didn’t call the baby a “tart” I also thought my Blazing Saddles reference pulled the segment together perfectly

oh and thanks for listening. catch you next week.

and seriously. how can you not laugh at the image of baby prop getting so big that he carries Sarah around in one of those baby harness things.

    comedy gold!!!

  28. anonone says:

Tart: a prostitute or a promiscuous woman.

Is it ok to call Bristol Palin a “tart?”

  29. D.C. says:

Pan, I am glad you hate that word and don’t use it. However, you contribute to a blog that apparently condones it. Your acquiescing says a lot.

I notice that whenever a conservative says something outrageous you often jump all over them. However, when it is one of your own, it is, for some reason, tolerable and accepted. I just find it dichotomy of it all very telling.

  30. liberalgeek says:

DC – did you click on that link above? How in the world do we condone it. We put it out there and we beat it up. I believe that you are purposely being obtuse.

  31. donviti says:

    DC,

you should start a drive to get all the advertisers to stop advertising here!!!

  32. D.C. says:

Is it ok to call Bristol Palin a “tart?”

    Sure it is.

  33. RSmitty says:

Back to more important issues on this thread…I am still waiting for my Starsux gift card, posers! You suck! I want (and need) my SKINNY Latte!!!

  34. donviti says:

    i peed on it

  35. RSmitty says:

Well, that’s just swell. Now it has too much sodium. Thanks, man. Then again, if it’s your pee, it probably has a high alcohol content to it, so let me think about it.

  36. anonone says:

OK, then. Bristol Palin is a tart and Trig is a “Special Needs” child in that she ‘specially needs a new mom.

  37. Geezer says:

D.C.: I suggest you take your delicate sensibilities elsewhere. This is where the rough kids play.

  38. a.price says:

HEY! Bristol Palin is a young lady who made some poor choices. attacks on her are OUT OF LINE!

  39. Jason330 says:

Donfeces is this week’s secret word. Just sayin’.

Smitty, email me so I can get you that gift card &. Be sure to tune in next week for special (though not in te retarded sense) guest Michael Castle.

  40. a.price says:

trig is a boy, A1. Unless you are also insinuating the child is transgendered. Given Trig’s age and mental status though i would call that charge questionable. Not to insinuate persons with DS21 are incapable of recognizing their gender doesnt match their body…. he just seems a bit underdeveloped (with respect to age) to come to that realization at present. BUt it DOES open the door to the term “shman”.
