Sean Hannity Praises Terrorism

Filed in National by on April 1, 2010

Sean Hannity let a little accidental truth slip in.

HANNITY: See, can I add one thing? I think we won the debate.
DREIER: We did win the debate.
HANNITY: When you think about the vast majorities that they have in Congress and they had to bribe, backroom deals, corruption, that’s all because the tea party movement, the people — all these Tim McVeigh wannabes here.
(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)
HANNITY: Guys, thank you for being here.

Unbelievable. Tim McVeigh wannabes…and the crowd cheered?

Oh I heard that today. A crowd of Republicans whooping and cheering for a terrorist who murdered 168 Americans. Their crime? They happened to work in a Federal building.

WTF? At long last…WTF? Have you no shame whatsoever? Have you no decency? The party has had a complete psychotic break with reality.

  2. MJ says:

This is the same vilification of Federal employees that Reagan started in 1980. So now it’s OK to emulate a domestic terrorist who murdered 168 of my fellow Feds. Someone needs to pull the plug on FAUX News and their fascist brown shirts.

  3. A. Nony Moose says:

You just don’t get the use of irony to satirize the inane comments that so many folks on the Left have been making about the Tea Party movement.

It is rather like the guy some months back who called himself “a proud right-wing terrorist” at a townhall meeting. He was simply flinging the accusation back at the accusers with all the contempt they deserved.

  4. Jason330 says:

Even for Moosey, that was a pretty threadbare rationalization.

  5. A. Nony Moose says:

Not a rationalization — just the most logical explanation for the comment.

  6. nemski says:

No rationalization needed. Republicans have no sense of humor – this is a proven fact. They say what they mean.

Had to be a slip of the tongue. I think what he meant was that, that’s what the left calls them. I hope.

  8. nemski says:

FBH, I have never heard anyone call Teabaggers “Timothy McVeigh wannabees”. Never. Hannity gets paid to talk. He knows what he is saying, that’s his job.

  9. MJ says:

    Sorry, FBH, your argument fails.

  10. Geezer says:

I think ANM is correct — that’s an example of conservative humor. Don’t let its lack of funniness fool you.

  11. Truth Teller says:

Hannity the guy who keeps stealing money from widows and chilren of dead servicemen

  12. Tea drinker not koolaid says:

For those of you who don’t think we have a sense of humor…We refer to fans of the film maker from Flint Michigan as morons…how funny is that I think that deserves a LMAO or at least a ROFL
also in respose to nemski you are correct that is what he is paid to do… but can you tell me what is our government paid to do? I thought they were suppose to represent the people not ignore them.

  13. Tea drinker not koolaid says:

also TT was just wondering how Mr. Hannity was doing that? Given that he is donating 100% of the profits from his new book that would go to The Freedom Alliance’s Scholarship Fund for the sons and daughters of America’s military heroes.
