While I am not a fan of marching bands, Notre Dame or OKGO, that was pretty good.

Very, very cool. I do like OK Go, largely because they seem really in it to have some serious fun.

The crane shot at the end was awesome.

    ARGH, HUSBAND.

This is NOT just a music video. This is the start of a very important discussion in regards to the future of the music industry and Net Neutrality policy, which has been profiled all over the internet and now even led to an interview in Time Magazine.

First of all, go here: http://okgo.forumsunlimited.com/index.php?showtopic=4169. There you will find a very thought-provoking piece on why XStryker (and everyone else) could not embed this video from its site on YouTube. It is an evenhanded discussion that explains the reasons behind EMI’s (Very Stupid) decision to disallow embedding of all its videos, and also what the band did about it so that you could all see it here on DL.

This is not the first time that this band has taken action to further their careers that was outside the norm. Furthermore, they are a very politically active band. Damian Kulash has written Op/Eds for the NY Times and testified before Congress in favor of Net Neutrality. The band in general are huge supporters of The Future of Music Coalition, a PAC dedicated to creating a middle class within the music community.

Yes, I’m biased towards this band, but their actions are responsible for constantly changing the face of the modern music business.

(Thank you for posting a video by my favorite band, Husband)

(And Cass and LG – I know, great video, right?)
