Looks like the always interesting Michael Steele did a photo shoot with the Republican party interns. Please don’t drink liquid while viewing the pictures.
Bottom line, Michael Steele has no idea ‘what up’ with the Asian guy.

Steele is completely ridiculous. These aren’t spontaneous pictures, they are obviously posed.
Comment by anon on 12 December 2009 at 9:27 am:
I don’t think anyone is claiming they are spontaneous. But they are ridiculous anyway. They are characters straight out of a Norman Lear sitcom.

Forget Steele. What kind of vile, despicable, souless, ethical homunculus do you have to be to want to serve the RNC as an intern?

Don’t you guys have a sense of humor?
Comment by Unstable Isotope on 12 December 2009 at 12:28 pm:
What? I think it’s hilariously clueless, but it fits Michael Steele’s clueless personality.

Steele is completely ridiculous.
But it strikes me that this is a bit of karma coming back around to bite these repubs in the ass. Remember how they mocked Howard Dean, with lots of expectations of how embarrassing he would be to the Democratic Party? Turned out that Dean put his shoulder to the wheel and delivered on a bunch of elections while the people who got a real clown for a Chair belong to the RNC.
Karma is a bitch.
Comment by Unstable Isotope on 12 December 2009 at 12:34 pm:
Exactly Cassandra. I keep thinking of how the media treats Howard Dean as a joke because he once said YEARGHHH despite his record of achievement.
Comment by MJ on 12 December 2009 at 1:16 pm:
Thanks, Geek. I needed a laugh today. And why is Steele proposing to that white chick?
Comment by A. Nony Moose on 12 December 2009 at 3:24 pm:
Let’s see.
In a supposedly substantive speech, before a large audience, Dean wigs out.
In a light-hearted moment with the GOP interns, Michael Steele engages in a little bit of goofy fun with a group of young people he has been working with.
Do you really view them as identical? Do you even view them as being in the same ball park?
Comment by liberalgeek on 12 December 2009 at 3:28 pm:
Hmmm. Which substanative speech are you talking about? That speech was a victory speech, not on some important policy.
And Steele is hilarious. I am sure sometimes he even means to be.
Comment by jason330 on 12 December 2009 at 5:15 pm:
I feel sorry for the young people forced to humiliate themselves like that. It speaks to the sorry state of conservative parenting.
Comment by Progressive Mom on 12 December 2009 at 5:33 pm:
I don’t view Steele and Dean “as being in the same ball park.”
Dean is smart, accomplished, strategic and well spoken.
Steele is, well, in a different ballpark.
That anyone wants to defend Steele’s record as party chair shows great loyalty to the party. And it’s hysterically funny.
Comment by Unstable Isotope on 12 December 2009 at 5:40 pm:
Wow. Someone actually thinks Steele is doing a good job? Wow.
Comment by V on 12 December 2009 at 7:30 pm:
I think steele is a mess as the head of the RNC.
However, those pictures are hilarious. He’s clearly a good sport and he’s trying to connect with the young people who do all the dirty work in his office. Good for him. As M-Stizzle would say, don’t hate.
