Filed in National by on November 30, 2009

Remember the lie about the Health Care legislation was longer than War and Peace? Turns out that out of the top 10 longest bills, half of them have been written by Republicans reports Open Congress.

But long bills are written by both Democrats and Republicans. The second longest bill to appear in Congress over the past ten years was authored by Republican Rep. Don Young [R, AK-1]. It’s a mere 68 words shorter than the House health care bill. Of the 10 longest bills in the past ten years, five were written by Democrats and five were written by Republicans.

The length of the bill attack on health care reform is pretty braindead in my opinion. I see it as “I’m too lazy to read the bill.”
