When You Think It Can’t Get Uglier…

Someone writes this in under 60 words:

It’s no fault of the president that he has no natural instinct or blood impulse for what the America of “the 57 states” is about. He was sired by a Kenyan father, born to a mother attracted to men of the Third World and reared by grandparents in Hawaii, a paradise far from the American mainstream.

Oh my, where to begin?  What is a blood impulse?  Just another birther reference?  I’m guessing it is since the description is immediately followed by citing Obama’s father’s origin.  Honestly, is there any group Conservatives/Republicans can’t whittle down?  They’re gutting the Republican Party with purging, deciding who’s a real American based on how they vote, and are now quite comfortable establishing a caste system for citizenship.

But it gets better with… born to a mother attracted to men of the Third World. WTF?  Attracted to men?  And Pruden’s use of the plural “men” is telling, and another typical Conservative/Republican slam against women.  By saying “men” isn’t he really just saying promiscuous?  Of course he is.

My sister-in-law is Italian, which I suppose, in Pruden’s eyes, makes my California born niece a second class citizen – and my sister-in-law attracted to men of America.  Can’t wait until Conservatives/Republican stop all this dancing around and just start using the term half-breed.  It is, after all, what they’re saying.  Geez, talk about establishing a criteria for a master race.

But if trashing Obama’s parents isn’t enough for you, Pruden takes on the state that in Conservative/Republican Land isn’t really a state – reared by grandparents in Hawaii, a paradise far from the American mainstream. Unlike Alaska, which is smack dab in the middle of America’s heartland?  Do they not see the ridiculousness of statements like this?  Especially since their “Great White Hope” is Sarah Palin.

My guess is no, and I’m pretty much resigned for it getting worse – although it’s hard to imagine how Conservatives/Republicans can sink any lower.  There are simply no lines they won’t cross.

Editors Note: Since Conservatives have won the GOP war, I can no longer separate Conservatives from Republicans.  They are one and the same.  Any shred of doubt I had left was erased by the participants in Michelle Bachman’s “press conference.”

Hawai’i at least has the advantage of diversity, which Alaska sorely lacks.

As for the “attracted to men of the Third World,” this is the conservatives’ attempt to reframe the term “n****r lover.” This is the unstated idea behind photos of Charlie Crist embracing the president, too.

  3. I read an analysis on this op-ed saying that criticism of Obama is mainstreaming racism. The author stated that the hateful rhetoric is becoming more open because it can be hid behind criticism of one person, Obama. I wish I could remember where I read it…
