Delaware’s Democratic Party has its annual fundraiser on Tuesday, November 10 at the Chase Center in Wilmington. (Tickets available here) I believe an almost-full contingent of your friendly neighborhood bloggers will be there. Guess who is going to be the keynote speaker? (C’mon take a guess first, before clicking the link.)

So, UI, this will be your second evening this year with the former President — didn’t you see him in Pittsburg in August? People are going to start to talk. ;o)
Onward!

Yes, I am very important. It will be interesting to hear what he has to say about health care reform now.

Better get your tickets quickly. The big dog will sell this thing out tomorrow.
Comment by anon on 21 October 2009 at 9:50 pm:
Can you buy two tickets? the form seems to donate as much as you want but it doesn’t say if you get an additional tickets. Or do I have to go in again and fill out the form again for a second ticket…

Once again, Democrats mark their heritage of racism and oppression of blacks by celebrating the legacy of two racist slave owners.
Unless, of course, you guys are celebrating George Jefferson and Jesse Jackson.
But even then, that would be marking the Democrat stereotype of what real, hard-working blacks are really like.

I don’t know anon. I guess I would fill it out twice to be extra certain. I’ll ask though.
Comment by Mike Matthews on 21 October 2009 at 9:59 pm:
Those DelDem party hoes already ran my credit card, so I’d better be on the list. Two tickets for me. Wonder if I can scalp them?!?!?
Comment by Mike Matthews on 21 October 2009 at 10:00 pm:
Anon,
I did it last year. YOu put how much you’re donating. The amount should equal the number of tickets. Then, in the note field, put how many tickets you’re ordering.

Again, the blatant prejudice against Southern Delawareans raises its ugly head. We are forced now to travel the length of the state for both of the most important Democrat functions: JJ Dinner AND Drinking Liberally.
I think Sussex should secede from Delaware. After all, we have the great beaches and the hot co-eds during the summer.
Comment by pandora on 22 October 2009 at 9:41 am:
You also had a drinking liberally, lest you forget.
Comment by Brooke on 22 October 2009 at 10:01 am:
If Sussex secedes, can I have their bedroom?
Comment by RSmitty on 22 October 2009 at 10:34 am:
I’m going to venture a guess that there will end up being non-Dems in attendance now and I am serious. It’s a big deal for those who aren’t so partisan that a Prez or former Prez actually spends time here. They (the non-Dems), of course, will be begging for DADT-style anonymity!

Hmm…wondering what he did while in attendance that caused him to forget. How was your head the next day, Dave?
Comment by Suzanne in Sussex on 22 October 2009 at 10:38 am:
Pandora – you can’t get rid of us this easily!
Comment by RSmitty on 22 October 2009 at 10:45 am:
Speaking of DL (Drinking Liberally), when/where is the next one?
Comment by pandora on 22 October 2009 at 10:46 am:
I don’t want to get rid of anyone. I’m not a Republican.
Comment by John Manifold on 22 October 2009 at 10:46 am:
Bill Clinton will be the keynote speaker!
The J-J dinner was held Downstate in 2006 and 2008.

Smitty, the next Drinking Liberally is on 29 October at the Homegrown Cafe.
A prize for the best costume!

Will you be attending John?

Sweet! I’ve bagged this honor before…except it was in March, and I all I did was show up to work…and I didn’t have a costume on. Waaaaiiiiit a minute…
Comment by John Manifold on 22 October 2009 at 11:33 am:
Indeed I will be attending.
Let the record show that Delaware’s senior senator voted with the good guys yesterday on the hotly contested “Doc Fix” amendment yesterday.
