CNN Leaves It There

I am always in awe of how astute Jon Stewart and his writers are. This is an astonishingly good takedown of the entire cable culture — the focus on providing programming and information, bu not necessarily on providing any context (fact-checking, esp) for that information. Indulging themselves in the He Say/She Say without giving you any way of being able to evaluate that info.

Mr. Blumenauer Goes To Washington

The New York Times has a great little piece about Earl Blumenauer, a liberal congressman from Portland, Oregon. Blumenauer was one of the earliest supporters of Senator Obama’s bid for the Presidency and he is one of the strongest supporters of the public option. In the article Blumenauer talks about his upcoming vote on health […]

Fairey’s unfair use of “fair use” will probably set back the rights of emerging artists many years and just strengthen corporations’ stranglehold on […]

Response to Andy Sere(al) Liar

Filed in National by on October 17, 2009 5 Comments

I always knew that DL’s stuff was read by the Underground Wingnuts of the Rethuglican Party. However, it was not until Andy Sere of the RNC tried to twist my ‘completely objective and non-partisan’ look at the group of GOP would-be challengers into a diss of John Carney that I realized that (a) official GOP […]

From the Huffington Post: Yet another state Democratic Party has passed a resolution urging its congressional representatives in Washington to pass a public […]
