There is simply no way he appears on Good Morning America to announce that he is “absolutely considering” running for his father’s old Senate seat against Mike Castle if he wasn’t going to run. If he was making the decision in “due course” but leaning against running, I highly doubt he would be so public about it. This appearance is to get his name out there in the national spotlight, a reintroduction of Beau Biden, if you will. I would be interested to know how many more of these appearances he is going to make.

There is simply no way… Unless he is trying to protect Castle by scaring other strong Dems out of the race. But that is my cynicism speaking, not Beau’s.
I am unfairly projecting the father onto the son, but just show me one picture of Joe Biden campaigning with any Democratic opponent of Castle – ever.
Maybe he will make an exception for Beau.

Joe lent help to Cari in ‘94, but Castle’s subsequent opponents have been a parade of Palookas – except Dennis in ‘06.
Biden considered Roth a friend, but always campaigned for his Democratic opponents – Maloney, Levinson, Woo, Oberly, Carper. Bid’ness is bid’ness.

Beau Biden is screwing the Democratic party if he’s not running. He’s keeping other candidates waiting for his decision and during that time they’re not building up any money or name recognition. I’ll say to him like I said about Castle – it’s time to make a decision. The time for a tease is about over.

The time for tease is based on the time needed to validate in some way why he should be Senator. His record as AG is non existent.
The genetic lottery has treated him well but is that the qualification for the Office?
Still, you are correct, he should make up his mind and clear the deck for others or man up and get moving.

Valerie knows not to roll it out until the time is right. Beau’s ‘06 announcement was on June 1. [Joe's '84 announcement was in June.] announcedWhen Beau announces, you’ll be seeing signs and stickers.
Notice that Mike’s announcement has generated zero buzz or signage?
