The choice is as easy as A-B-C; anybody but Castle.

  2. Delaware Dem says:

I am going to do this is an order of likelihood of being the nominee for both sides

    Republicans
    Castle
    Copeland
    Lavelle
    Bonini
    Hocker
    Sorenson
    An inanimate carbon rod
    Protack
    O’Donnell

    Democrats
    Biden
    Carney
    Denn
    Coons
    Petersen
    Katz
    An inanimate carbon rod
    Gordon
    Weldin-Stevart

  3. johnny longtorso says:

    Matt Denn for Senate!

  4. nemski says:

I don’t know if you’re joking johnny, but Denn would be the perfect candidate. However, the elephant in the room remains for the Dems — what is Beau going to do?

It’s time for Beau to shit or get off the pot.

  5. Republicans:
    Bonini
Kovach (since Castle gave him the shout out)
    Copeland

    Democrats:
    Denn
    Schwartzkopf
    Short
    Katz
    Coons

  6. For the Democrats, I choose Jason Scott as my favorite nominee. Give AG Biden until Halloween.

For the Republicans, I would love for Colin Bonini to go for it, but I think he will end up winning something else. My choice is Christine O’Donnell. She will make a great Senator and bring needed balance to the U. S. Senate.

  7. Jake says:

running schwartzkopf unnecessarily risks losing the 14th

  8. I agree that if Schwartzkopf leaves the 14th might go to but he shouldn’t be a slave to the seat if he has higher ambitions.

  9. johnny longtorso says:

No joke; from my perch in Virginia, I think Denn seems like a good guy.

  10. xstryker says:

Johnny, he’s pretty popular here and has a bright future ahead. He’s been a hands-on Lt. Gov and was well-regarded as Insurance Commissioner. As opposed to our current Insurance Commissioner, who hopefully will drop out of politics forever once her term is up.

  11. Delaware Dem says:

David wants O’Donnell to add needed balance to the Senate. Yeah, I agree. The place is just way too sane.

  12. Delaware Republican says:

The Senate is a complete failure, maybe sane but a complete failure but then so is the House. Maybe because both chambers are run by inanimate carbon rods and have majorities of the same caliber?

As far as anyone on this site having a clue about the GOP, that attempt is the insane part of this post. You guys have no clue at all. Like fifth graders you rely on emotional outbursts to count as substance.

The Dem party is a train wreck looking at a President tanking more and more every day with a Congress with 18% approval ratings and as most liberals do you attempt to transfer your misery to someone else.

I can’t wait for a rereference to Halliburton, Katrina or Blackwater.

    Mike Protack

  13. delacrat says:

    Ugh…Mini-Biden is leading.

  14. liberalgeek says:

Anyone else laugh out loud when Protack accuses us of being out of touch with reality?

  15. Geezer says:

I would stack up the Delaware Liberals’ understanding of the GOP against yours any time you choose, Mr. Protack. Nobody here ever predicted — as you have repeatedly — that you would win a primary that you then wind up losing 75-25.

In other words, you don’t even know the GOP, yet you continually post your tripe about the Democrats. Who’s the ignorant one again?

  16. O’Donnell doesn’t have a chance. Maybe if she has a platform with at least one idea that was her own and not party line she may show some inkling of possibility. Until then she is a party puppet and the voters won’t go for more of the same, I hope.

I would hope that at least someone would run with their own ideas, their own dreams of the future, and something different. Sadly, it looks more like Delaware will have little choice no matter who Coke and Pepsi put up.

Looks like “Carbon Rod for Senate” is the unity ticket!
