  1. The F 22 was intended to complement the F 35. The F22 would be the high speed , stealthy aircraft which would guarantee air supremacy.

The F 22 ran into some problems as it used shared processors across many subsystems but it is a true air superiority fighter.

The key question is will the F 35 be the last manned fighter aircraft? If you take the liberal view of the world that all we need to do is talk then maybe, but the rest of the world respects strength.

I agree with you from a military point of view as I feel that there is a need for military might and supremacy. Being a Navy man, I can certainly appreciate being the biggest and baddest dog on the block and besides, the reason why we’re so superior is the fact that we do have the biggest, baddest aircraft carriers in the world, correct? But I digress, do we need F 22’s right now? Are we not deemed the worlds mightiest force already? Time and time again has proven that fear does not prevent anything. It just creates another problem like Bin Laden. Unless everyone votes to wipe out the entire world for the exception of countries that align with the US then unfortunately we do have to sit down and talk. Just because we think we’re right doesn’t necessarily mean we are the good guys.

i’ve seen pictures of countries in Europe that have no military and are pretty bad ass.

must be that education thing that makes them bad ass. I wouldn’t know, I’m stupid and lazy

looks like more of America is hating him back…

At USAToday, they have a comparative approval rating chart. You will notice that Obama today, has a lower approval rating that Bush had at his corresponding time period. Hope and change. Obama has a 55% Approval rating, and a 41% disapproval rating. While Bush had a 56% approval rating, and a 33% disapproval rating. Wanna know what else is funny? Jimmy Carter had a better approval rating as well. Jimmy was at 62% and 22%, respectively. Nixon? Yeah, he did better too, 58% and 36% respectively. In fact, of the last 11 presidents, only Bubba Clinton, and Gerald Ford have had worse approval ratings, to date. Looks like the liberal Messiah isn’t beloved by all, after all.

At this point in his first term, George Bush had done just about nothing but try to cut taxes, which he could advocate because his predecessor left him with a surplus.

Oh, never mind. Pearls before swine.
