Deep Anger Management Thought

Filed in Delaware by on July 14, 2009

Even Matt Denn tells me I need to get over it.

Just let it wash over me that Mike Castle lied his ass off. He will be our next Senator….Ohhhmmmm….let that manra somehow bring me peace.

Matt is wise and I guess he has a point. I’d be a lot more easy going if I could just forget that Mike Castle voted 95% with George Bush while calling himself a moderate. I could releax if I could forget the more recent lockstep vote with the Republicans to try and defeat President Obama’s economic recovery plan.

In the end, I think the thing that really gets me was the betrayal. I was a ticket splitter just like everyone else and I thought Castle did have the integrity to break with his party.

Boy, was I ever a sucker.

  1. Maybe giving you the opportunity to have me over and provide me with some Corona on your deck (does it exist yet) will help smooth over your inner turmoil.

By the way, I broke my vow only one hour into the day, today. I could use that Corona.

  2. Wow, you voted for Castle? Sucker!

    Seems like a lifetime ago.

  4. Geezer says:

Don’t feel bad, Jason. If it were his decision alone, he would have retired. The Delaware GOP, and to an extent the national GOP, won’t let him. It’s in his nature to cave in to pressure.

  5. What economic recovery plan? Do you mean the pork and photo op plan?

  6. PBaumbach says:

If the national GOP is putting pressure on Castle to run for the senate seat, then shouldn’t the national DNC be putting as much pressure on Carney (or another ‘first tier’ D candidate) to run for the senate seat? It is WAY more important to keep a senate seat D than it is to let the R’s keep DE’s house seat.

  7. But you forget — Joe Biden wants his son to have the nomination and the seat, and the DNC can’t very well buck the Veep.
