Marcy Wheeler Utters Forbidden Word On MSNBC

Marcy Wheeler, one of the blogosphere’s best investigative bloggers, utters the word “blowjob” on MSNBC. Apparently, this is very, very naughty even though we spent almost 2 years discussing it in the late 90s. I guess the whole sordidness of the Clinton impeachment is supposed to go down the memory hole?

Blowjob is a bad word? Since when? Mention Clinton and even the most religiously devout conservative spews the word ad nauseum. I suppose the clinically approved term is oral sex, but whatever.

WTF? Blow job requires Marcy to be admonished? Maybe she should have said fellatio. It’s cable TV, not subject to the 7 dirty words banned by the FCC. MSNBC needs to grow up.

MJ,
They are subject to the FCC. It’s basic cable, not premium. Cable channels you pay for outside of basic are what don’t fall under the FCC.
Either way, it was some funny shit.

Marcy just used the word everyone knows. I don’t know why it is a big deal but I guess if you want to be clinical it should be referred to as fellatio. It seems pretty silly that we spent 2 years obsessing about it during the Clinton impeachment drama but we’re not allowed to say it on TV.

I agree, UI. I ultimately want those “seven dirty words” and the entire FCC scrapped. It’s fucking bullshit!

I wonder if she felt relieved of any of her obvious pain: http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20090712/sc_livescience/swearingmakespainmoretolerable

Wow, she complains about lack of congressional oversight. Where has she been for the last 59 years?

LOL. Phil said something that made sense by accident.

“I’m sure Marcy apologizes for a bad choice of words.”
Oh, really? Why? Why apologize? Isn’t a BLOWJOB what happened?
I get so, SO tired of the uptight EFFtards on every news station willingly participating in the continuance of the farce of self-censorship. Makes me want to tear my eyeballs out of my face.
Bill Clinton CAUGHT A BEEJ in the Oval Office. And a pretty respectable bit of oral, too, from what I’ve read.
Why is this such a crisis? Fire whoever that woman is who said, “I’m sure Marcy apologizes for a bad choice of words.”
Terminate THAT idiot’s employment. With a quickness, already.
