Lets play, “Guess! That! Party!”

PITTSBURGH – Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett says a state legislative staffer wanted to engage in sex acts with a teenage boy while dressed in a panda costume.

Corbett says 40-year-old Alan David Berlin, of Carlisle, was charged Thursday with attempted sexual exploitation of children and related crimes.

A Corbett spokesman says the boy’s parents alerted authorities after finding sexually graphic messages on his computer. He says agents found a wolf and cat-type costume in Berlin’s home.

A spokesman for Sen. Jane Orie says Berlin has been suspended. Berlin worked in the Senate about a decade, including the last several years with the Allegheny County

Republican.

Berlin is being held in the Dauphin County jail. It’s not clear if he has an attorney.

    Lordy, why a panda suit?

“It’s Pandamonium if you ask me…”

  5. Panda is throwing me off, thinking Green party.

  6. edisonkitty says:

It’s all that debt to China causing a panda bear market. That must be the source of the infatuation.

  7. Don’t judge a whole political party based on the actions of lone thousands of its pervs.

    ahhhhhhhh, still laughing…

    Panda suit!

    ahhhhhhhhh LMAO!!!!

  8. liberalgeek says:

Hey! is that a bamboo shoot in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

  9. Yeah, but was he wearing two wet suits?

  10. pandora says:

This is why Republicans should support sex education. They’re obviously doing it wrong! 😉

  11. jason330 says:

    panda-dora.

  12. OMG…

n a series of instant messages and online chats, Alan David Berlin, 40… discussed dressing up in animal costumes and engaging in various sex acts with the [15-year-old] boy, the state attorney general’s office said yesterday.

…According to the criminal complaint, Mr. Berlin proposed traveling to the boy’s home in Harrisburg… and having sex in the backyard and in a shed on his parents’ property. He also allegedly offered to arrange a meeting in a hotel room so Mr. Berlin could take photos of the boy and another adult having sex.

….Investigators say some of the messages originated from a Senate computer.

    (…)

In one message… Mr. Berlin requested pictures of the boy and wrote, “When will your folks be out?”

Other messages describe various sex acts in explicit detail and refer to “yiffing,” which is a “furry” term for having sex.

    (…)

“I’m a Daddyfur and Caretaker and I am looking for a babyfur to be my mate and my companion in a long-term committed relationship,” [Berlin’s] ad says. “I am a hopeless romantic and very affectionate, freely giving hugs, scritches, cuddles and kisses.”

  13. jason330 says:

    Daddyfur.

I have a feeling that a new term has just entered the DL lexicon.

  14. Mommyfur, too, don’t be a sexist. 😉

  15. now if he had only directed his insanity towards unborn children…he’d have been a hero

  16. liberalgeek says:

Steve Newton just linked to a guy that was just sentenced for having sex with his dogs and for dressing up like animals for sex play. How many more do we have to find to declare this a Panda-mic?

  17. jason330 says:

Even money says he was the youth pastor at his church.

  18. G Rex says:

Aren’t pandas an endangered species? Makes sense, us Republicans hate all endangered species! Kill all the spotted owls!

No really, this is sick. At least we GOPers kick our trash to the curb…Barney Frank’s BF ran a gay prostitution ring out of his apartment in DC, but he’s still running banking. Nothing to see here, move along.

  19. G Rex says:

Oh, and what would Sexual Harassment Panda say???

  20. a. price says:

oh man, this is bad news for the Furry community. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=furries good people

  21. Geezer says:

    OMG, Santorum was right!

  22. MJ says:

I love how G Rex brings up something from 20+ years ago to justify his argument. Barney at least was MAN enough to admit he erred, unlike all those closeted GOP congressmen and senators who blame it on alcoholism (former Congressman and all around sleaze Bob Bauman comes to mind) or are in complete denial ( Senator Larry Widestance Craig).

  23. Grex
    one name

    Larry Craig…now stfu

  24. Another name:
Mark Foley, who was a known predator. Larry Craig was also caught up in the scandal that Frank was caught in.

  25. David says:

http://www.delawarepolitics.net/democrat-perverts/ Which party actually harms children?

Larry Craig did nothing but trade cards. It had nothing to do with a Frank type prostitution ring and fixing parking tickets. He deserved to be forced into retirement for reasons of stupidity. He pled guilty when he didn’t commit a crime.

  26. pandora says:

Perhaps Republicans wouldn’t get such grief if they climbed down off their family values, homophobic, moral superiority, religious pontificating, finger pointing, hypocritical high horse.

    Just sayin’.

  27. I personally don’t care about someone’s personal sexual behavior as long as what they’re doing is between consenting adults. As Pandora said, the problem is when the GOP moralizes to everyone else about how we’re supposed to act.

  28. Geezer says:

“Larry Craig did nothing but trade cards…. He pled guilty when he didn’t commit a crime.”

Bullshit, and you know it. He claims he’s not gay because he pitches instead of catches.

  29. David says:

Being Bi-sexual is not a crime. Are you hateful of bi’s if they happen to be Republicans? I happen to know several, I guess my party is more tolerant.

  30. anon says:

    David A. knows several bisexuals?

I have got to get out more.

  31. Geezer says:

Why would I be hateful of bisexuals? I figure they’re the easiest-to-get-along-with people on the planet.

    I’m hateful of hypocrites.

  32. David says:

Maybe you are hypocritical yourself if you say an activity should have civil rights protection, but you excoriate Senator Craig for that activity. Why would you not be troubled by the fact that the police had a sting operation to get gays? I don’t know. Hypocrisy is a universal condition so don’t be hating.

  33. David, you don’t get it. We don’t care what Craig did in the bathroom. What he did was try to keep it secret and deny that he does it. Meanwhile he voted against gay rights legislation. He’s a hypocrite.

  34. David says:

No it is not. He doesn’t believe that civil rights should be associated with sexual activity. His alleged status makes him more credible not less. He doesn’t need special protection except for hypocritical liberals.

  35. anonone says:

Why would you not be troubled by the fact that the police had a sting operation to get gays?

They had a sting operation to stop sexual activities in public bathrooms, regardless of the sex of the participants. I would think that would be something you would support.

Dave, you knowingly and deliberately publish and perpetrate lies to smear people. Why should anyone believe anything you write?

  36. David says:

Odd, he wasn’t having sex with anyone. How many women do you think walked into the men’s bathroom to get sex that day? We all know what it was about.

What I said did not smear anyone. I am pointing out that you guys are hypocrites. The reason that you have a problem with Craig is that he did not follow what you think a bi should have a political agenda. There are a lot of them who do not agree with you.

  37. David says:

I agree that having sex in the men’s room or women’s room is wrong. Don’t be cheap, get a room.

Picking up someone who is willing, is not.

  38. Geezer says:

“Maybe you are hypocritical yourself if you say an activity should have civil rights protection, but you excoriate Senator Craig for that activity. ”

I excoriate Sen. Craig for denying that what he’s involved in is gay sex. HE’S the one insisting it’s shameful, and following through on that in his legislative agenda, while simultaneously engaging in the activity.

In other words, what HE does is okay; what OTHER gays want is too much.

Your claims of some sort of intellectual consistency on Sen. Craig’s part is, of course, nothing but your made-up version of what you’d like to be the truth.

I’m a hypocrite? I don’t think so. But you, sir, are a liar, a hypocrite AND a sanctimonious ass. Nice multi-tasking there, asshole.

  39. anonone says:

What I said did not smear anyone

On posts on FSP, Burris and you posted flat-out and easily discredited lies about the murdered Dr. Tiller and you just published a smear about Scott Ritter.

As I wrote, given your propensity to promote lies about people, why should anyone believe anything you write?

By the way, had a man and women walked into the men’s room that day to have sex in a stall, I am quite certain that they would have been arrested, too.

  40. Geezer says:

“…had a man and women walked into the men’s room that day to have sex in a stall…”

I guess people have different ideas of what constitutes a romantic setting…

  41. anonone says:

    Sometimes you just gotta improvise…

  42. Let’s see did CNN smear Scott Ritter? I am sorry but I thought CNN was a credible news outlet. Maybe you did not see the citation. Scott Ritter did a whole lot worse than try to find an adult date. The fact that he pled in court sort of takes that out of any smear category.

I won’t wait for my apology.
