Question of the Day

Filed in Delaware by on May 29, 2009

What do Markell, KWS and Beau Biden have in common?

The have their staff contact information posted on the web.

Matt Denn, Tom Wagner,  and Velda Jones-Potter do as well.

Transparency people.

Speaking of no transparency. Did KWS’s office ever respond re. the wired RFP? Who got the contract? Any word?

  2. Mark says:

The primary difference between those that do not list their staff names and contact information on their websites is that one of them (I’ll let you guess which one) promised to make his Administration “more transparent than any that has come before.”

Kind of a tough sell if the two Governor’s that served before you provided a full staff listing with contact information on their web sites.

  3. Elliott Jacobson says:

On the DOI web site, on the left, as plain as day, the third item down it says “Contact us.” There you will find the phone numbers and names of everyone you will need.

    The address is http://www.delawareinsurance.gov/contact.shtml

    Thanks for the correction Elliot.

  5. Susan Regis Collins says:

    Here’s another correction:

It is Velda Jones Potter (not Porter)….you know in politics name recognition is everything. Maybe like KWS’ we could refer to VJP….

I stand freaking corrected, KWS does have contact information on the website — here’s the link, http://www.delawareinsurance.gov/contact.shtml.

In my defense though, everytime I go to the DE Insurance website and I see KWS’ picture, I’m afflicted with the Mary Hart Leg Syndrome which sends me into convulsions.

It’s like that time when I was in Japan doing some top-secret work for the CIA and we broadcast Pocket Monsters which sent hundreds of Japanese children into seizures.

I’m off to see Rush Limbuagh’s doctor to get some pills for this — I understand that I’ll start seeing everything through a bluish haze. The sacrifices I need to make.
