Gay Thought of the Day

Filed in National by on April 22, 2009

Studies show that angry male homophobes probably have deeply hidden homosexual urges. So next time you get in a argument with a Radical Right man who is hung up on “the gays”, have pity on the poor soul as he probably hasn’t really accepted his true sexuality.

I’ve always thought this! Fascinating article, btw.

All the man-on-man “scandals” coming from the right since J. Edgar pretty much was a dead giveaway.

  3. RSmitty says:

I’ve always thought this, too. The rage that comes from these hapless souls just seems to smack of self-loathing. Self-loathing tends to manifest itself via violence against those who represent what it is that causes the personal hatred.

This seemed to be one of those common-sense studies, you know like scientists find that if you get a good night sleep, you’re not drowsy during the next day.

    Exactly, Nem.

To me homophobia reveals deep sexual insecurity. The straight men I know accept gay men for who they are, and – here’s a newsflash – the gay men in my life accept straight men for who they are and do not try to “convert” them. Honestly, where did this nonsense come from?

  7. RSmitty says:

Unfortuantely, nemski, points of the obvious aren’t so easy to come by for those stuck in denial (just like the subject population of that study).

This is what we’ve always suspected! I’ve never understood the obsession with others’ sex lives unless it’s intense jealousy.

Ummm…you may want to label that article NSFW. It was very interesting, though.

  11. Unstable Isotope says:

I can’t imagine if someone had walked into my office with all the words about gay porn and penises.

  12. nemski says:

    But . . . but . . . . but, it’s science.

  13. What if you really hate Evangelicals?

  14. Does that mean if you don’t support murderers and rapists you secretly want to be one?

Is Obama a homphobe? He doesn’t support Gay Marriage.

I agree no one should be hateful but I only wish those who ask for tolerance and acceptance for their cause would practice with those who do not agree with them.
