Well that is the thing -- there is no great agenda. No agenda at all, by any lights of what these guys have to say. They do get plenty of time on the floor -- what they can't do is get any votes for anything. Rolling up your sleeves and working at real solutions is what is called for. And solutions that are radically different than the ones that got us into this mess. Just standing up to whine about a great agenda that no one sees is pretty much proof positive that such an agenda simply is Vaporware.

Why do we need more? We don't have the votes to implement anything unless Democrats get scared. Ryan and Cantor really do have a great agenda but Speaker Pelosi won't give it a minute on the floor.

And in light of your opposition to a thing that isn't even in evidence -- the silly red scare crap again -- then perhaps this is a concession that manipulating approval ratings is about all you guys can manage at this point.

The stupidest thing Republicans can do is confuse an economic system with a political system. Of course, they do it all the time, which is why we say that while not all conservatives are stupid people, all stupid people are conservatives.

The most partiotic thing the GOP can do is oppose the march to socialism. Stand up and shout no like Buckley did a generation ago. Stand up for the real America. One which values liberty more than welfare lies. One which values all of its people regardless of race, handicap, religion, or status of birth. Stand up and be counted.

Well if the signature achievement that Republicans want at the end of two years is that Nancy Pelosi's approval ratings are down, then there's nothing to argue over is there? Your guys really have abdicated the field.

I'll say it - I think the Republicans are unpatriotic, and operating in a pre-Great Recession mindset.

Oh, I thought the opposition party was suppose to promote their opponents. I didn't think they should oppose them.

Put this post in the Duh category.

Obama himself raised the point yesterday:

"I know there are some who believe we can only handle one challenge at a time. They forget that Lincoln helped lay down the transcontinental railroad, passed the Homestead Act, and created the National Academy of Sciences in the midst of Civil War. Likewise, President Roosevelt didn’t have the luxury of choosing between ending a depression and fighting a war. President Kennedy didn’t have the luxury of choosing between civil rights and sending us to the moon."

The most important thing about a secret strategy is that it's secret. This is like sending an email to your entire company stating that the way you intend to get a promotion is by making your manager look bad.

Seriously, they need to shut up.

It is all electoral politics all the time with these people.

Very patriotic.

BTW - I wonder if the News Journal is ever going to ask Mike Castle what he thinks of his party's priorities?

(I crack myself up.)
