Dang! I’m at work right now so I can’t watch yet. Is it good?

As far as Cramer going on Stewart’s show, that should be really interesting. Isn’t Cramer kind of hyper and shouting on his own show? How will he behave in the very different TDS format. CNBC must be in some kind of damage-control mode right now, but they don’t seem to be doing a very good job of it.

first of all UI, it was very good. second, i believe it was scheduled (the interview) before things blew up, so maybe he will cancel. Ive seen people who have been absolutely mauled by the Daily Show later go on and it goes well because Stewart is capable of…. well decent human behavior (John McCain for example is made fun of often, and goes on the show often.)
Cramer, however is responsible for most of this. He decided to turn a joke on a cable comedy show into a big deal about him, so the civility of the interview will be totally up to Cramer. Given how he has conducted himself, I think he will either cancel or act like such a jackass he will get fired.

Sometimes I get the feeling these guys are just winking conspiratorially to each other in a plot to drive up all their ratings. Maher, Coulter, Stewart, and Limbaugh probably all hang out together and have a cigar and good laugh at us.

I don’t know if Stewart hangs out at tranny bars, though the other three probably do.

Cramer’s biggest problem is his inability to laugh at himself. He could have avoided this entire showdown had he just brushed off Stewart with a laugh from the beginning. If he discovers this trait before Thursday he’ll do himself a world of good.

Canceling his appearance will only succeed in making him the focus of another Stewart monologue.

It reminds me of when McCain brushed off Letterman and Letterman went after him for days. McCain actually came on and apologized and made himself look good in the process. Cramer seems to have a really big ego so we’ll see if he can show a little humility.

    nemski,

    lol

Funny, this will help both shows. It is like Rush and Rahmbo fighting. Both sides benefit.

I don’t really think this is helping CNBC at all. Remember, Crossfire shut down shortly after Stewart told them that they’re “hurting America.”

  10. I agree with UI. Now, many people who have never seen Cramer on CNBC know not to watch him. TDS is a comedy show, and Stewart is a comedian. But he’s so very often right.
