DelawareLiberal In The News

Filed in National by on February 19, 2009

You have to read between the lines, but Governor Markell did not initially invite Castle to the press conference on the economic recovery package money coming to Delaware.

Carper had him added to the invitee list – but thanks to the white hot spotlight that DelawareLiberal turned on the situation, suddenly Castle “was unable to attend.”

That is minus one Carper/Castle joint appearance. We’ll need to keep the pressure on because Tom Carper likes nothing more than having his picture taken with Mike Castle.

  1. maybe he had another stroke

  2. You have to be delusional to think Mr. Castle did not attend because of this blog.

Your statement rivals Eric Holder’s nonsense.

The Silliest Comment Made In Public in A Long Time

According to Attorney General Holder we are ” a nation of cowards” when it comes to race. Mr Holder mentions the workplace is integrated but Americans still self segregate on weekends and in their private lives.

Let me try and understand this comment. In America the President is African American. So is the most well known entertainer -Oprah Winfrey. So is the most well know athlete -Tiger Woods. There can be no more honest discussion of race in America than individuals making their own choices and it appears America is very confortable with race everywhere toinclude at the ballot box, the sports arena and in entertainment.

Mr. Holder goes further to say most Americans avoid discussions of racial issues. That statement is so far off the mark as to be ridiculous. No, Mr Holder most Americans are comfortable going beyond race and looking at people as individuals. You are the one stuck in the past, not most Americans.

Castle/Craper….two rebeans in a pod. The two of ’em take votes from both sides. Why are we not surprised they cover each others butt?

  4. Unstable Isotope says:

I would say I’m not sure it’s all due to Delaware Liberal, but DL was out here putting pressure on Castle when no one else was.

  5. anon says:

It is called moving the Overton window. Nobody was willing to take Castle to task except Jason.

  6. xstryker says:

I’ll take a little credit too for starting the smack talk on the Delaware for Obama mailing list. Before my missive, people were saying things like, “maybe Castle skipped the vote”.

  7. Unstable Isotope says:

Good job, X. Yes, I noticed that the DE for Obama list was clueless about Castle’s vote despite the fact that every Congressional Republican voted no. Wishful thinking is very strong.

  8. anon says:

You guys must not have notee that I posted on this first….and then came over here and mentioned it in the comments.
Just because you all’re too snobby to peruse the local venues doesn’t mean the WNJ only reads this blog, SHEESH!
