Breaking: O’Donnell Running For US Senate

Filed in National by on February 12, 2009

This is another reason Castle is not running for the Senate; he’d have to go toe to toe with crazy Christine O’Donnell I wish the crazy wingnut formatting survived the the translation to a post – but you get the idea.

Subject: BREAKING NEWS ABOUT 2010 US SENATE RACE

Are you as frustrated with the news as I am? Whether it’s President Obama telling us the federal government is our only hope, or our newly appointed Senator Kaufman bragging about the “deal he made” with Biden and Minner, it’s hard to stomach. If you’re yelling back at the TV as much as I am these days, please join me in the fight to put our country back on the right track…

I’ve decided to continue my campaign for Biden’s US Senate seat (a special election will be held next year.) Believe me, it wasn’t an easy decision to make…

Evan (sic) AFTER my 2008 campaign was over, my home was vandalized, nasty names were written across my front door, my campaign signs were spit on and brutally destroyed in an occult like manner.

During this last campaign, I stood up for justice. People wanted to hurt me for that. Launching another campaign was the last thing I wanted to do. Even when national experts called to tell me how impressed they were with my results, I was too war weary to even think about continuing. Yet, during a recent appearance on Fox News, I was talking about this stimulus bill and my passion was stirred once again.

If this new stimulus bill passes, more than 50% of our population will be dependent on the federal government for their livelihood.

This new administration may deny it, but this is the very definition of a socialist economy. Are we supposed to sit back and watch career politicians turn our free society into a socialist society?!!

President Obama is just ONE SENATE seat away from having a filibuster proof majority in the US Senate. If this happens in 2010, President Obama can do whatever he wants with the economy and we will pay the price. We will have no recourse!

I am a fighter. I can’t just sit back and watch this happen. After much prayer, consideration and counsel, I have decided to continue the fight for this US Senate seat, which is now a fight for the very heart and soul of our nation!

A friend of mine reminded me that there is no victory without sacrifice. We all sacrificed dearly in the 2008 campaign. Yes, it hurt. Yes, it hurt again and require even more sacrifice this time around. But what will happen if we don’t continue?

I’ve recently partnered with a team of professionals to the campaign get organized early. This team has worked on just about every Republican Presidential campaign since Reagan. They know how to get things done, and they know we can win. Our goal is to raise at least $5000 in the next week in order to launch a national fundraising campaign.

There is a deep frustration on the national level. Many will support our effort to win this Senate seat. Yet we need seed money to reach out to them. Will you contribute $50, $100 or even $1000 to help us lay a strong foundation for 2010?

Every bit helps. Whether it’s $25 or $2500, no amount is too small. Please make a secure online donation on line by clicking the red button below.

Thank you for your continued sacrifice. Sincerely, Christine O’Donnell To make a contribution by check, Make Checks Payable to Friends of Christine O’Donnell. Checks may be mailed to: PO BOX 3987, Wilmington, DE, 19807 Please Respond to odonnell2008@gmail.com

As if there was ever a question – this guarantees that the seat is going to stay Democratic.

Shorter O’Donnell: It is ON BITCHES!

Believe me, it wasn’t an easy decision to make…

Really? Sorry, as a serial political campaigner, Christine O’Donnell doesn’t know how NOT to run.

  2. anon says:

In the unlikely event Castle becomes serious about the Senate seat – O’Donnell would be bought off so fast your head would spin.

  3. jason330 says:

    Prediction:

While there is now a very slim chance that Castle could be asked to take the bullet, in the end – Copeland gets the shit end of the stick and is made to represent the sane (in relative terms) Republicans so that O’Donnell does not make a mockery our of this high profile race.

  4. jason330 says:

anon – good point. Unless she is so far off the reveration that she can’t be reached by carrier pidgeon.

  5. jason330 says:

If you’re yelling back at the TV as much as I am these days,

Get back to me when you’ve been yelling at the TV for 8 solid years.

  6. anon says:

O’Donnell would be bought off so fast your head would spin.

Which means… apart from just keeping her name in the news, she is simply laying down a bargaining chip to use with whoever the real GOP does decide to support. What will they offer Christine to drop out? Cash would be tacky. A GOP leadership position would be just nuts. Maybe a private sector GOPer will come up with a nice job for her.

  7. jason330 says:

If this new stimulus bill passes, more than 50% of our population will be dependent on the federal government for their livelihood.

I keep reading this and it keeps cracking me up. What Delaware needs is a Senator who can pull whacky made up stats out of her ass.

  8. jason330 says:

I don’t know anon. She is a whacked out true believer. She might be in it for real.

  9. Reis says:

The first half of her missive seems to base her campaign platform on the fact that “everyone hates me”.

    Kind of a counter-productive stance.

  10. anon says:

In her world, that is celebrated as “persecution.” It is ongoing proof of your own goodness. It is along the lines of Limbaugh’s myth of the liberal media.

  11. jason330 says:

I have to say I am psyched! This is going to be a hoot.

Christine has a team of experts who “know how to get things done.” We are talking red in tooth and claw culture warriors. Abortion fanatics and club for growth types. (All of whom probably hate Mike Castle.)

She is bringing the whole bloody GOP civil war to our doorstep…

    …AND I LOVE IT.

  12. Von Cracker says:

The big question is: Will she keep the already ancient headshot for campaign posters or give us some truth in advertising?

I do hope she keeps her slogan though: “God, God, Me, SkyDad, and Perks for the Blindly Perky!

  13. I’ll be getting behind her.

  14. El Somnambulo says:

It just dawned on El Somnambulo, who is admittedly slow on the uptake, that “God, Country, and a Vision” has a narcissistic alternative interpretation.

And, it must be said, that ‘Vision’ grows larger as apparently Ms. O now qualifies for the Early Bird Special at the Dutch Pantsuit, er Pantry…

  15. BlueHen says:

They were destroyed in an “occult like manner”?

I knew it was the fucking Wiccans.

  16. Unstable Isotope says:

    VC,

No way she goes for truth in advertising. It’s her biggest advantage.

I’m with Jason, I think she’s a whacked-out true believer and she’s in to stay. This should make a Republican primary mighty entertaining because I doubt the presence of serial candidate O’Donnell would keep out a serious Republican. My dream Republican primary might be Protack vs. O’Donnell. That would rock!

  17. BlueHen says:

    @Mike Matthews

    Or on top of her?

  18. Delaware Dem says:

I am sure you will Matthews.

Where does the lying bitch get her figures? 50% of the American population will now be dependent on the government for their jobs???

Last I check only 10% of the 4 million jobs to be created by the Stimulus Bill are public sector (i.e. government) jobs. 10% of 4 million is 400,000. Since when was 400,000 half of 300,000,000??

O’Donnell needs to go back to Math class.

  19. Unstable Isotope says:

I’ve recently partnered with a team of professionals to the campaign get organized early. This team has worked on just about every Republican Presidential campaign since Reagan.

Did they work on the 2006 and 2008 campaigns? Those didn’t go so well.

  20. Truth Teller says:

the Harold Stassen of the Delaware Repuks

  21. X Stryker says:

Even when national experts called to tell me how impressed they were with my results, I was too war weary to even think about continuing.

This is my favorite part. “We’re impressed! You did pretty good for a lying, theofascist idiot! We never thought you’d break 30%, much less 35%. 35%! Good lord, I guess we could get 35% of Delaware to vote for anything as long we slapped an R after its name and it talked about Jesus. Wow!”

  22. Reis says:

Does she have an opinion on Mike Matthews’ “stimulus package”?

  23. Reis says:

    Or is it “stimuli”?

  24. nemski says:

BTW, remember this, O’Donnell lost to Protack in the 2006 US Senate Republican Primary.

  25. El Somnambulo says:

Christine likes Mike’s package b/c it reminds her of her intent to shrink government.

  26. Reis says:

Hey! I just took a cold shower!

  27. “God, Country and VISION”

I wonder if she is in the OPTICAL world like Feroce is….

  28. Excuse Me says:

That loud bang you just heard was Tom Ross who shot himself after hearing the news. If Ross is still GOP chair after May he had better dispose of O’Donnell quickly.

The only thing bigger than O’Donnell’s ego is her butt which is huge. She has no issues, no knowledge and zero credibility.

She had to mortgage her house last year, she lost her lawsuit with ISI and she has debt from her campaign.

If Castle doesn’t run for the Senate look for a plea for Copeland or Protack to run though I doubt either would do so. Both know the Republican party is a waste.

  29. nemski says:

My issue with O’Donnell is that she is a one-trick pony. Her “right-to-life” write-in ballot in 2006 shows that.

  30. Susan Regis Collins says:

I only yell at the TV whenever I inadvertently (sp) click on Fox and see “Lil’ O” on the tube 🙂

  31. Von Cracker says:

All she got is the Opiate for the Masses mind trick. So yes, Nem, she’s a OT_Pony.

Keep that headshot though! I’d pay $2.99 a month for that! online that is….

….and if she’s lucky, the DE GOP male crowd may get that moth-to-the-flame dead-eye glare like Alaska voters.

  32. jason330 says:

She had to mortgage her house last year, she lost her lawsuit with ISI and she has debt from her campaign.

I imagine that ISI is probably like “Mad Men” except instead of being sexy and smart, everyone is ugly and dumb.

  33. R Smitty says:

    Congrats on the early win.

  34. “…Please make a secure online donation on line …”

Can I please make an online donation offline?
It will be such a hoot to follow this one LOL

  35. Suzanne says:

oops..need to remember to change my name LOL

  36. “I imagine that ISI is probably like “Mad Men” except instead of being sexy and smart, everyone is ugly and dumb.”

ISI is a fine outfit, stop by and learn something.

ISI is very close to VP Biden’s multi million dollar mansion.
