President Obama in Fort Myers:
“I expect to be judged by results. I’m not going to make any excuses. If stuff hasn’t worked and people don’t feel like I’ve led the country in the right direction, then you’ll have a new president.”
Accountability and Leadership. I’ve forgotten what those traits look like.

This is why the country is so enthused. Agree or disagree, Obama is going to stand on his record. Bravo

It’s refreshing to see things like this.

It was obvious, to anyone who hasn’t drank the Kool-Aid, that the whole ill-conceived soap opera was staged … and very amateurish.
Comment by hero worship on 11 February 2009 at 9:40 pm:
uhm, Bush said at least as much at one point or another.
Comment by edisonkitty on 11 February 2009 at 9:40 pm:
He could have changed water into wine and the GOP faithful would declare it to be a bad year for that vintage. Talk about Kool-Aid.

EK, lol! So true.

“…Obama’s signature “Making Work Pay” tax credit for 95 percent of workers, though negotiators agreed to trim the credit to $400 a year instead of $500 — or $800 for married couples, cut from Obama’s original proposal of $1,000. It would begin showing up in most workers’ paychecks in June as an extra $13 a week in take-home pay, falling to about $8 a week next January.”
CHANGE!!
Literally.

Accountability? Leadership? Hardly.
Every President knows they will be held accountable for their actions. Making a half hearted PR statement is not accountability or leadership.
Maybe you can explain why Obama was the first President ever to not stop by the Military of the Purple Heart, Paralyzed Veterans of America and Medal Of Honor recipients gala on inauguration night?
These members of the military understand leadership and accountability. Obama has yet to prove he has.

I don’t feel like you’ve led the country in the right direction. Please resign and give me a new president who will.

The $838 billion economic stimulus bill that passed the Senate yesterday contains $300 million for the government to purchase a fleet of “green” cars.
Drudge: $300 Million In Stimulus For ‘Green Golf Carts’
Leadership and Accountability?

Chirp-chirp.
Drudge? Shut the fuck up with that lackey!
Comment by pandora on 12 February 2009 at 7:03 am:
*sigh* Let’s try this again, Mike. The government buys cars every year – I believe they own approx. 600,000.
So let’s see… by investing in green cars not only will the gov save money in the long run, they will also spur on environmentally friendly technology which will help our auto manufacturers grow competitively which, ultimately, will benefit the average consumer by making the green car more affordable.
It’s directed stimulus. It has a purpose.
Comment by Miscreant on 12 February 2009 at 8:55 am:
$300,000,000 worth of green cars is a noble endeavor It’ll be a little shot in the arm for the auto industry, placate the unions, and it may even be enough to offset the number of vehicles reduced by the state and local governments to compensate for their budget deficits.
win/win!

Another brilliant comment by the Red Baron.
“Every President knows they will be held accountable for their actions. Making a half hearted PR statement is not accountability or leadership.”
Knowing it and saying it are 2 different things. And I guess it’s a half hearted because you say so? And every statement ANY Prez makes is PR. I don’t see how you can use “PR” as some type of knock…
You know… you’re very dim… it amuses me.
