Don’t forget the guy who shot up the Unitarian church because they were “liberals.”

  2. jason330 says:

No of it counts because Bush never showed up three days later with a bull horn telling everyone to keep shopping.

That’s how you know it is terrorism.

  3. when was that Eric Rudolph thing?

  4. how about that Va Tech thing?

  5. anon says:

Not to mention hundreds of police shootings and taserings – like the guy in LA who was held down and shot.

And that doesn’t include thousands of instances of terroristic menacing by armed officers.

  6. I am not sure you got the memo but Bush is not President, Obama is.

Your weak attempt to label the above events as attacks reveals the inability you have to express substance on any subject.

You will whine and disagree but there were to terrorist attacks on America after 9/11, none.

  7. anon says:

Your weak attempt to label the above events as attacks

Sure, they weren’t attacks – Fuck ’em if they can’t take a joke!

  8. nemski says:

    Seriously, WTF?

  9. nemski says:

You will whine and disagree but there were to terrorist attacks on America after 9/11, none.

Gee, Mike, I guess facts get in the way of your talking points.

  10. h. says:

    Stretching.

  11. nemski says:

h., is the list in the post a list of terrorist attacks on United States soil? Even if you took out two crazy drivers and the attack at the LA airport, you’d be left with Anthrax mailings, the Beltway Sniper and the embassy attack.

  12. pandora says:

In the eyes of conservatives only Muslim extremists commit terrorist’s attacks. All those other instances are just people having a bad day.

  13. Unstable Isotope says:

    DV,

Rudolph set the bomb at the 96 Olympics. He had done abortion clinic bombings before that.

What about violence against abortion clinics and providers? I’m sure some happened since 2000.

VA Tech shootings? That was a terrible incident.

There were also terrible incidents of terrorism in Madrid, London, Egypt, Indonesia and India.

  14. h. says:

I guess that means any violent attack can be considered a terrorist attack. That means Wilmington is a hotbed of terrorist activity.

  15. Jason O'Neill says:

The crimes you listed below are isolated homegrown attacks on our citizens, not terrorists attacks similar to that of 9/11. Your mention of the attack on Syria, was not our soil.

Nice try. Remember Obama is in charge.

  16. cassandra_m says:

I guess that means any violent attack can be considered a terrorist attack.

You don’t have to be Muslim to be a terrorist.

  17. nemski says:

Jason O’Neill, US Embassy is sovereign US territory or every spy move ever made is wrong. πŸ˜‰

  18. edisonkitty says:

Nemski is right about the American soil thing, of course.

Also, I think it’s important to note that no Iraqi sponsored or executed terrorist attacks came to American soil before 9/11.

The point is that 911 happened on the repuke watch. Bush/Cheney et al, refused to listen to John Oneil the FBI guy running around with his hair on fire trying to tell them. They all refused to look at the all documents left by the Clinton administration. They were on Rice’s desk. Under Clinton the Taliban were considered a terrorist organization, Bush gets selected by the Supremes and brings the Taliban to Crawford, spent $28 million to “change the public image”. Anybody with half a brain would realize the 911 Commission covered up many facts, and we need to reopen the 911 Commission with everyone on the Commission put under oath, along with Clinton, Bush, Cheney and everyone in top leadership in the Bush regime. European scientists have done the tests and believe there is no way 911 happened the way the Bushites said it did. Controlled demolitions inside the Towers is the reason they gave. Too many questions about 911…too many questions about Norad in the sky that day, Cheney in the bunker and none of those planes could get the three in the air? The 911 Commission report clearly states that “911 happened because of the Palestine/Israel horror show”. Philip Zelikow needs to go under oath, that guy lied again and again.

The Presidents Therapist, Mark Alter who has revealed we had an alcoholic in the White House permitted vile and evil Cheney the ultimater warmonger to run this country….right into the ground.

  21. Miscreant says:

Amusing attempt to reinterpret history and redefine terrorism. Keep up the good work guys, this is nearly as good as reading The Onion. It also speaks volumes when Liz flies by in all her tin foil-hatted splendor, takes the bait, and runs away with it.

I know I have had some moments but, after reading some of the lunacy on this blog, I feel so well adjusted. It’s like therapy.

    Thanks again.

  22. Von Cracker says:

The meme is “We haven’t been attacked since 9-11”.

Well, aren’t those listed above ‘attacks’?

In the immortal words of Denny Green:

“THEY ARE WHAT WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!”

Why are you loonies defending an obvious attempt to mislead the American public? Defending propaganda?

  23. cassandra_m says:

    I feel so well adjusted.

No need for thanks, we’re delighted to be the enablers of your delusions!

  24. liz says:

Have you read John Oneills book, Forbidden Truth, have you read the 911 Report, do you people READ anything? Continue in your ill informed opinions, and those that actually have facts….are tin hats.

Proud to be a tin hat for the truth.

  25. liz says:

A little fact: go to alternet and read the story on The Presidents Therapist….Mark Alter….more questions than answers.

  26. I am going to say any arrest made using teh Patriot Act as the reason for the arrest, warrant etc…is a terrorist type offense

  27. annoni says:

which way do you moonbats spin this?:

SAN’A, Yemen (AP) β€” Yemen released 170 men it had arrested on suspicion of having ties to al-Qaida, security officials said Sunday, two weeks after the terror group announced that Yemen had become the base of its activities for the whole Arabian peninsula.

The announcement also comes as government forces say they are poised to sweep through the northern city of Marib to combat an entrenched al-Qaida presence that includes both Yemenis and Saudis.

The officials who announced the release spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not allowed to speak to the press.

The men were freed Friday and Saturday after signing pledges not to engage in terrorism β€” a strategy the Yemeni government has often used with those suspected of fighting in militant causes abroad.

  28. Von Cracker says:

Above is more of an indictment against Bu$hCo.

Yemen and Saudi Arabia certainly didn’t fear reprisal from the previous administration, so what’s your point?

  29. cassandra_m says:

Frankly, I don’t see much of an indictment of anything — especially since this doesn’t indicate that any of these suspects have done anything since they were released.

  30. Von Cracker says:

yes, it’s weirdly out of context.

though the oil barons stick together besides the little slaps on the wrists every now and then…
