Memorial Tribute for Andrew Wyeth This Weekend

Filed in Delaware by on January 30, 2009

The Brandywine River Museum in Chadds Ford is hosting a memorial tribute to Wyeth this weekend, showing for the his last painting. MOMA has lent “Christina’s World” especially for the tribute. It doesn’t seem to be a formal service, but a chance for people to visit the works again (and get a chance to see Christina’s World!).

WHYY had a really nice story about Wyeth and Chadds Ford today. They also have pictures of the area that they took during the interview.

Last, Robin Young from WBUR’s Here and Now Program broadcast this remembrance of Wyeth today — featuring abit of an interview Ms. Young tried to get with Wyeth and conversation with Thomas Hoving.

Thanks for stopping by Fay. I may try to swing by there tomorrow if family requirements don’t sink me.
