This smells fishy….and not in a good way

I’m not buying this little nugget to the story Andrew Sullivan linked to Sunday:

The doctors who conducted the post mortem said the bodies of the terrorists were beyond recognition. “Their faces were beyond recognition.”

There was no way of identifying them,” he said. Asked how, if this is the case, they knew the bodies were indeed those of the terrorists, he said: “The security forces that brought the bodies told us that those were the bodies of the terrorists,” he said, adding there was no other way they could have identified the bodies.

Maybe I have watched too much television, but when a body is beyond recognition it sure makes it hard to really know if the person being buried is really the bad guy.   It just wouldn’t surprise me to learn years from now that they aren’t dead and are or were tortured American style.   It’s pretty scarey scenario really.  As far as the world knows, they are dead, but you wouldn’t recognize them.

“Here you go, your dead terrorists”

“We don’t recognize them”

“yep, what a shame, you’ll just have to trust us

One can guess that their observer is unfamiliar with what ten rounds a second (guessing from their weaponary) can do to human flesh. Two or three seconds at the receiving end of four or five automatic rifles, common in SWAT drills, would give the result mentioned above…

I doubt that the Muslims put down their weapons and died peaceably……

These people committed human butchery for hours and days on end. In the end they almost certainly would have fallen into some very angry hands. This doesn’t surprise me at all.

It was a Commando unit…and they weren’t all muslim. Blaming the Pakastani’s is not correct. There was even a Brit in the bunch…international terrorists at work, or just another AlCIAeda thug group.

We should just talk to the terrorists. You know, diplomacy. That will make them lay down their weapons.

  5. you couldn’t be more right actually. Sometimes terrorists want a seat at the table and a voice. You don’t have to give them what they want, but allowing them to talk is better then closing them off and having them shoot you.

  6. h. says:

You make them sound like diplomats.

  7. you make yourself sound ignorant neaner, neaner, neaner….
