Delawareliberal to Excoriate Dave Burris on TV 2 Nite

Filed in National by on November 30, 2008

…actually, I doubt El Jr. Burrito will come up, but his name in a headline is a real ratings booster.

Tonight I’ll be on Richard Korn’s show on Comast (Channel 28) to talk about recent electoral outcomes, Delaware politics and blogging with Richard, Dana Garrett and Mike Mathews.

Dang, I’ll be on FIOS tonight. Comcast is going bye bye. Dang.

  2. jason330 says:

I’m checking. According to the TV guide it airs at 9:00. But that seems late to me.

  3. delawaredem says:

Nemski, you got FIOS over there? When I lived in Fairfax up until May, Verizon kept telling me it was not available in our area!

    Jason…

With Dana, Mike and Richard, you would most normal person on the set. Just kidding all!

  4. Unstable Isotope says:

Is it on FIOS? On the internet?

  5. Rebecca says:

It’s Comcast Local Access so I very much doubt it will be on FIOS — but maybe the folks who know how to do this could get it up on You Tube? I’m sure Richard would cooperate.

  6. Dana Garrett says:

“but maybe the folks who know how to do this could get it up on You Tube? I’m sure Richard would cooperate.”

I asked Richard for a copy for that very purpose.

NOTE: If Comcast has its way Channel 28 will cease to exist shortly.

Keep up w/city of Wilmington, Cable & Communications Committee (private club for the ‘in’ crowd) and Comcast negotiations. (Chime in if you are able.)

Verizon wants in on some action too.

DD, they laid the lines in June and I got a call about two weeks ago.

Internet is blazing fast compared to DSL and I’m waiting for all the HD channels to get activated.

Interestingly enough I had a signal booster in the basement for the TV on the 2nd floor. That is not needed anymore.

And best of all, my Telephone/Internet/TV bill has gone down significantly. Yes, I know I’ve gone from one master to another, but it feels good to be rid of Comcast.

Be at City Council at 5:00 pm. Wednesday and fight for “citizen media”. The head honcho’s at Comcast and perhaps some in City Government would like to see Chan. 28 and 190 shut down. I guess we are supposed to get our information from corporate media: WDEL, WILM (Clear Channel) and the Stooge Journal. Chan. 28 is the only medium where citizens can discuss, debate and deliver information that we all need surrounded by the corporate world in corporate Delaware.

Comcast has announced they will no longer carry live TV, and have already handed out the pink slips to their camera folks and control room staff. This was done while theds are existing contracts….Comcast has cut programs on ll its cable shows…while boosting the costs for programming.

Come out to City Hall on Wednesday and stand against Comcast, stand with the citizens who want “citizen media” to continue to be programmed LIVE.
