DEwind: The Week That Was November 17th
This past week has been a little slow on the Delaware news as blogged by Delaware bloggers. We’ve had the stories that guessed who would suceed Biden as Senator, even a plea for Beau not to to Iraq and another to say he should and Beau saying he’s not interested in his dad’s seat.
Gov.-Elect Markell is asking for ideas on how to fix the state, we gave some and so did Delawonk. What’s not surprsing is that there is agreement across the aisle.
On the state legislative front, the Democrats have picked Michael Migliore to run in the special election for the 6th Representative District. Delaware Watch questions the need for Republicans to show up in the State Senate.
Delaware’s Dan Pfeffier has been named as Deputy Communications Director for the Obama Administration which puts the count to 3 Delawareans who potentially have Obama’s ear.
On State News front, the list of Delaware’s top tax scofflaws has been released and, maybe, Gov. Minner isn’t doing too bad of a job.
Some stories to read from this week are:
- The Delaware Curmudgeon’s Perspective
- Tommywonk’s The Not So Big Three
- Down with Absolutes’ Thanksgiving Dinner 2008 Rules
- Cassandra’s The Myth of $70 Auto Workers
- Delaware Watch’s On the Fixing Broken Windows Theory
- Delaware Libertarian’s The State and the Corporation
- Delaware Libertarians’s Jason Gingrich? Newt Scott??
That may be my mantra for this trip. It was a nice town, but it isn’t my bag. I don’t know if I could do this again, let alone every year. The city felt like a cross between a boardwalk and Vegas. But, if you like musicals or country music, or shtick or buffets (OK, I like them, too) you will have a much better time than I.

Seems like a slow news week. I’m tired of speculating about Biden’s seat. Just name someone already!

In a week of several major local blogging posts, I believe the more interesting factor is the gaping hole not covered by this edition. lol

True ’nuff anon…heh!
Numbski must be a grudge-holding, self described elitist kinda guy.
Old fashioned good-mannered horners worked the magic across the Delaware blogosphere. He is content to overly work DE Lib like a bar overly works his elbow.
(runs from the room to avoid -oh Nancy is just JEALOUS snark)

Mea culpa. I was using Google Reader for the first time and forgot to star your news. Can I hold it till next week?

C’mon Nemski! Delmar Dustpan is posting a racist joke? Don’t tell me that you have never read this or this? He posted a variation on an old joke about three prominent public figures.
Comment by Howard on 25 November 2008 at 8:50 am:
Racist? If I had made the joke with Biden McCain and Palin in it would it be more acceptable to you? Obama is President ,are you going to whine racist over every cartoon and joke that will be made about him over the next four years? It sounds like you are the racist instead of me.

People who think Nemski missed some big posts should put links to those posts so that everyone else knows what ou are talkign about.
