And since you think torture is a “necessary tactic”, I guess you’re perfectly on-board with having American soldiers tortured when they’re captured.

“He refused to criminalize” – he legalized

“rare but necessary tactics” – torture

Carper would be highly vulnerable to a self-motivated, self-funded candidate who is able to clearly articulate a Democratic platform.

But without that kind of candidate, Carper will be kept safe and warm by whatever the hell kind of deal he cut long ago.

This chart is really instructive. Bet you could add Mike Castle to the chart and his record would be absolutely competitive. Both of them largely voting in line with their corporate constituents.

It strikes me that the Blue States Bluer strategy could use some tweaking.
