No national blogs have this yet.

    Trust me, Jason.

    “Great pick!”

Actually, I was really anticipating a little “change” instead of yet another Washington insider.

What I heard on TV is that he was offered the job but hasn’t yet accepted.

I was upset with the decision to pick Emmanuel, too, because it isn’t “change” but then Rebecca explained to me why it was a good choice.

Hope to see some of you at the
PDD victory celebration tonight – upstairs at Iron Hill Brewery at 7 p.m.

You want a Washington insider to be your chief of staff but not your president. The Chief of staff has to put ideas into action; you don’t want the insider as the ideas guy, but you do want him to be the guy who carries them out – like LBJ did for Kennedy, really.

Not a good choice. Rahm Emanuel is a solid AIPAC member. He fought with the Israelies against the Palestinans. A pick of an AIPAC insider means there will be no peace in the middle east. No two state solution but 100% for the Israelie continued slaughter and horror against the Palestinans. Our only hope to be a balance against a Rahm Emmanel is Powers the Harvard Professor who understands only a 2 state solution can be achieved when the US becomes an honest and fair broker for peace.

June ask Sally what she thinks of this pick I dont think Rebecca has a clue on the middle east.

How little faith you have in Obama. If we learned anything through this campaign it is this: Obama ran his campaign and he will run his Presidency.

LOL, Liz. A Chief of Staff is the enforcer of the President’s orders. He needs to be a Washington insider. Rahm worked in the Clinton White House and has been in the leadership for the Democrats in the House for the last six years. Thus, he has experience and connections.

  9. Liz says:

A chief of staff is a right and left hand. He is the closest advisor of the President. Hopefully, he will balance out Rahm with Suzanne Powers…a real advisor who has a grip on the middle east and what is necessary.
