    this is a shocker.

  2. pandora says:

Hmmm… maybe there is a God.

  3. karmicjay says:

oooh yes!!! Chalk down these 2 votes for him. Dr. Katz stopped by our place, and the Mrs. told him he had out votes! And he did!

  4. Donsquishy says:

I hope he begs for forgiveness in church. No doubt he did something wrong to have lost this race.

  5. Ray Sukumar says:

Good for you Michael; I know we can do it.

  6. Chris J says:

Clatworthy ran a disgraceful campaign. No one deserved to win today more than you, Mike.

  7. Unstable Isotope says:

Probably one of the sweetest victories of the night. Who is left on the GOP’s bench now?

  8. Stella Bluez says:

Speaking for Mike Katz I wish to offer a hearty THANKS for all the support DL offered his campaign……spreading the Clatworthy word was key to the win (the squeaker win)!!!!

A shout-out to Nemski for the daily (anti-Clat) rant, that was classic stuff!!

What a great election from the top on down!!!

  9. nemski says:

I am glad we could help in some small way. However, there is only much work to be done. DL will be able to help get things done.

On a lighter note, apparently I’ve moved to Hockessin (or so says the News Journal).

The only Republican stronghold in the state — Senate District 4 in Hockessin — fell with 51 percent of the vote going to Democrat Michael Katz over Republican John Clatworthy.

  10. outside observer says:

Rep. Cathcart is one of the very few bright spots on the republican side. I wonder what the fall out will be when the republicans caucus to elect a minority leader and minority whip?

The dems cleaned “house” in the senate, too.

  11. Tom says:

I hope you feel good about your ‘rants’ Nemski. Clatworthy ran a campaign that anyone really paying attention would be proud of. There was nothing ‘disgraceful’ about it. I know John was apprehensive about working with some of you extreme left wingers, so now at least he can focus on the next election. Your personal attacks prove how petty the liberal press is. The Republicans in Delaware will be back. This is just part of the cycle. Enjoy/gloat in the moment while it lasts!

Keep clapping harder, Tom — you’ll never hear that the voters of this country actually rejected the kind of R that Clatworthy represents pretty soundly.
