another member of the party of corruption

  2. jason330 says:

I’m shocked that his “I have no idea where all this stuff came from” defense didn’t hold up.

  3. Plebe says:

Mmm…..more old hatin’ for ya, J.

  4. JohnnyX says:

One could argue that Stevens has flushed his career down…a series of tubes!

    He is old isnt he?

  6. Plebe says:

    Yes. Too bad I guess.

Sucks that you can’t go into politics being such a fat shit.

Man, you would have ruled back in Cleveland’s and Taft’s days.

    Guess that’s why you’re a blogger.

  7. Truth Teller says:

Good Old Uncle Ted spent over 1 million dollars of tax money to improve a road from his house to his favorit Resturant. This guy knows how to take care of his friends.

  8. G Rex says:

Jason, you’re just jealous because he got his deck built.

    Love this line from mudflats:

Mark Begich, wherever he is, is doing the Snoopy dance.

  10. anonone says:

Sarah Palin, wherever she is, is changing her underwear.

  11. Liz says:

and another one bites the dust!

  12. cassandra_m says:

Sentencing is to be in March and could get (but this is unlikely) 5 years for each count.

  13. FSP says:

    Good. See ya.

  14. cassandra_m says:

So now I want to know why it is taking the DOJ so long to get rid of Dollar Bill over here.

  15. Unstable Isotope says:

I guess Stevens’s gamble with moving the court case up didn’t pay off. He really was arrogant, wasn’t he? Interesting defense – it doesn’t belong to me it just sits in my house. That sounds like Palin’s defense on the $150,000 of clothes.

  16. anonone says:

Phillies: 3 down, 1 to go

    Senate: 1 down – 48 to go.

  17. MJ says:

So here’s a, hopefully, unlikely scenario – Stevens somehow wins reelection next week and of course McSame and Palin lose. Stevens resigns and Palin appoints herself to finish out the term. Scary, but I wouldn’t put anything past the Diva.

  18. johnny longtorso says:

Doesn’t work that way in AK — the Murkowski debacle caused the legislature to change the law to require a special election in the case of a vacancy.
