The Circadian Clatworthy Post

Filed in Delaware by on October 22, 2008

Tommywonk wrote yesterday about Clatworthy’s negative campaigning:

I don’t think I’m too sensitive when it comes to rugged campaigning. But while I’m well versed in the none-too-gentle art of city politics, I don’t remember learning that you can just make stuff up. In the campaign for the 4th Senate district, Republican John Clatworthy seems comfortable doing just that in a campaign piece about his opponent, Democrat Mike Katz.

But more importantly, Tommywonk said the following:

Of course, this is pretty tame stuff compared to the sewage coming out of the McCain/Palin campaign. I just hope this kind of crap doesn’t take hold here in Delaware.

Sadly, this is the direction some of the people in the Delaware Republican Party are going. Thank you, Mr. Clatworthy. Thank you, Mr. Copeland.

The DE GOP has clearly decided that it will be all negative all the time, and to be honest what choice do they have?

From trying to smear Jack Markell to Clatworthy’s BS it is not like they have the option of running on issues.

Come on Delaware Liberal, negative campaigning should be left to the blogs? It all part of the political hunt and if a candidate falls victim tough shit! Look at how the people are victimized by both parties! We’re just little disposable pawns and their game is dividing the people and filling them with empty promises!

If Katz can’t defend lie then he doesn’t have what it takes to defend the people! He as all candidate shovel some much shit that they know they can’t deliver.

Seems like folks around here are really concern that Clatworthy and Copeland might just win!

Jason330 come on, you mean to tell me at times your not full of shit like many of us?

  3. Geezer says:

Clatworthy should win — this is the safest GOP seat in the state. His positions are so out of step with Delaware’s electorate that he might lose a safe seat. Nothing to be proud of there.

  4. Kilroy says:

“Clatworthy should win — this is the safest GOP seat in the state”

That I agree on that one! But is he out of step with the republican who held the seat?

Stella Bluez asked me to post this for her:

Katz did a great job explaining/defending himself at the Hockessin forum Monday night….unfortunately the turnout was low…..there is no other place for defending yourself at this level of campaigning….
unless you choose to go neg/nasty in your mailings, like Clatworthy has right from the start….

While listening to some folks in attendence Monday it was interesting that several referenced McCain’s neg tactics when commenting on this senate race…..maybe people are starting to see thru this nonsense….

    Katz supporters ???

“Katz did a great job explaining/defending himself at the Hockessin forum”

What did he do wrong that he had to defend himslef?

Kilroy, I’ll assume you’re being sarcastic as you already know that attack ads force opponents to defend onself from false attacks.

I’m surprised you don’t want to have a serious discussion about Clatworthy’s socially-conservative background or his attack ads.

“I’m surprised you don’t want to have a serious discussion about Clatworthy’s socially-conservative background or his attack ads”

But serious! Blogs and all of us talk some much about social morals but yet our attacks on candidate and just as immoral as the negative campaign ads. Minner was Gods gift to Delaware and her leadership is far immoral that any negative campaign ads!

We all join together to bitch go negative on the opposing candidate of our views or loyalty to our parties yet we fails a community to step up and demand change! We stand by and let lobbyist run Dover, business leaders run public education and the public who cries for healthcare reform doesn’t nothing and continues to give our elected officials a free healthcare ride. We fight each other over the honor of those we support for public office but yet have not fight for open government and real transparency.

I’ve been on the blogs for maybe two and half years and the only blogger or commenter that I have totally respect for is Jason! He know dam well he shovels the pig slops and like fools we line up in the pig trop eating away! The atom has neutrons, protons and few quarks! So called me a quark! No personal Al! but we have a local radio station pushing less the 5 watts that couldn’t get a ship across the C&D Canal on a clear night. Then we have Gaffney or whatever if name in down state pushing more bullshit! So what’s left in the middle ? Clueless pricks in Dover.

Were all too busy trying to prove each other wrong we can’t see the ones screwing us all!
Why are we the servants of those elected to be our public servants? Pretty much every body knows who Kilroy is (John Allison) and I don’t have to hide behind anonymous to call anyone an asshole! I used to bash Markell and at one time when I talked positive about him the Delaware GOP locked me out of the Voter Vault! I got reprimanded because I openly support Richard Korn and was a mother f’er to Manolakos but yet when the dust clear Nick and I became good friends.

If Katz, Denn or Copeland and all other can’t take the heat then don’t run for public office. As far as the truth the public has no clue to the real truth. You see and believe what you want but only a handful know the real truth! Shit much of the U.S. Constitution was written based on lie! George Washington was a terrorist against the legitimate British rule and King George still lives up the asses of many in Dover!

I am for disrupting this government here in Delaware where I live and it time to bang these fools together such as Markell and Copeland to give them no choice but to break the political gridlock that’s screwing us all! Why can the people have the same healthcare as elected officials at the same cost! Find it and then you’ll know the truth!

Of course you are and it’s you right to post negative blog ads! Am I allowed to respond?

  11. nemski says:

Absolutely, wouldn’t have it any other way.
