A larger point: Either women are more truthful than men, or men or more loyal than women, at least to their friends. This joke also reinforces the notion that women are harder on women.

    Great post.

I did an accident investigation in the Marine Corps for a Marine who died did not come home and of course his wife was worried. This event was before cell phones so she called some of his friends to find out where he was.

Every guy (4) ‘confirmed’ the Marine was asleep and he would call in the morning. The guys had been out and the Marine had run into an old girlfriend so the guys were covering for him.

In the end the Marine never hooked up with the old flame. He was dead in a farmer’s front yard off of rt 78 near a small town called Ringold Pa. He fell asleep and was not wearing a seatbelt.
