McCain is back into a corner, put there by Obama and Biden themselves.

The public has reacted very negatively to McCain’s attacks concerning Ayers, and if you doubt that check all of the polls released over the last three weeks showing McCain’s favoribility ratings crashing like it is the stock market.

Indeed, when asked why they have a less favorable view of McCain, they say it is because of his attacks and his choice of Palin.

So McCain has had his honor challenged (in his view) because both Obama and Biden wondered aloud if McCain was afraid to attack him to their faces, and McCain hates to have his honor challenged. So now McCain HAS to attack tonight, and the result will be he will lose the debate.

HA! This has been a genius campaign by Obama. McCain has fallen for every trap laid out for him.

I’m not sure how Obama will fire back – I only know he will and he’s ready. So which path will he take? Will he deal directly with McCain’s smears, or will he skip over Ayers and focus on why McCain is dealing with nonsense when there are real issues on the table?

The crazier McCain looks, the better for Obama.

My prediction: McCain looks very crazy trying to swing for the fences.

…and if he does go down this path how will Obama respond?

I would love to see a bitch slap, followed by a major throwdown, right there, on stage.

You might get your wish, Smitty… figuratively.

Supposedly they will be seated opposite each other. It may be difficult for McCain to carry out his threat to address Ayers. If he takes the lowest road, Obama will simply tell the truth. There is no relationship with Ayers. Ayers never sat on the Board. Ayers filed for the Annenberg grants and when received a Board was set up, which Ayers had no official capacity and only turned up at open to the public board meetings.

I hope McMad does bring it up and that Obama will be able to quietly, presidentially refute the madman’s allegations so intelligently McMad will look even madder than most now believe he is.

Or Obama could return the threat and ask McCain, “have you actually looked at the background of your choice for VP, I refer you to the fact that Palin has been engaged in militia groups in Alaska and in the lower 48. One of the same groups that Timothy Mcvey joined? So should we talk about a guy, Ayers and incidents that happened 40 years ago, or should we discuss the facts about “your choice as VP” who is currently involved with right wing supremacist and militia groups with a plan to violently overthrow the government”?

  8. pandora says:

Oh please! Can you honestly see Obama “returning the threat” in such a manner, anon? Just reading what you typed turned my stomach. So not Obama’s style – Thank God!

  9. Unstable Isotope says:

I think McCain will go for the full crazy. After all, Obama dared him to bring up Ayers so he’ll look like a wimp if he doesn’t. I wonder what Obama’s response to Ayers will be?

  10. anon says:

Not Obama’s style, but is what is needed to shut them all up! A little tit for their tat is in order. If Obama just says “oh thats not true”, it won’t bring many to his side. Obama needs to stand up and be strong and factual. Enough hate speech, but facts are not hate speech.

  11. X Stryker says:

I think Obama will pull the rug out by defending McCain’s association with a lobbyist for Saddam Hussein. “Having met Ayers does not make me anti-American, nor does hiring Timmons make John McCain pro-genocide. The whole argument is absurd, and we shouldn’t waste time with this associations game. There’s no winner in that game, and no solutions for America’s problems are advanced by it.”

  12. Truth Teller says:

He should fire back by suggest that McSame is a good American and the fact that he has hired William Timmons as the head of McSame’s Transition Team a man who lobbied against this government and it’s citizens for no other than Saddam the leader of Iraq . this work was done by Timmons for five years after the first gulf war. This In no way should be are reflection on Mcsame’s love of country maybe his judgment.

Also lets have McSame explain how he got AT&T along with Verizon to place cell phone towers on his ranch free of charge. Remember these two companies report to McSame’s committee.

Third why isn’t the MSM reporting on these things
