Comment Rescue – Let’s Start The Week With Some Ins. Commish

Filed in National by on October 13, 2008

Since this is going to be the only state wide race with an unknown outcome, I guess it is fitting that it is sucking up a lot of blog oxygen.

I’m taking some shit for the fact that I simply don’t like Karen Wedlin Stewart, so I guess I should listen to this audio to sunbstantiate my disfavor.

John Brady, Tom Savage, and Karen Weldin Stewart were recently on the radio at WDEL. There is a link to the video on John Brady’s website at (Link To Video) – look under AUDIO AND VIDEO. I will also post video of another recent Candidates Forum within the next few days on his website.

Jason, why would you let facts get in the way of your feelings? Freaking liberal.

    Brady’s resume is impressive.

  3. Lissadell says:

Yes, Brady’s resume is impressive. Karen Weldin Stewart’s is simply unavailable. If she were to produce it and people were to check her claimed qualifications, not one would be confirmed. I can say that because I’ve known her for a long time. I guess all you need to create a fantasy background to deceive Delaware voters is the ability to lie through your teeth. KWS has developed and elevated that to a fine art. Seems to me someone would call her on it and make her prove her claims. Where is John Brady in all of this? Doesn’t he want to win? He will if and when he exposes KWS for the fraud she is.

Listening to Stewart’s claims on the WDEL debate pretty much establishes she’s lying about her experience. And I don’t mean a little lie. She said she was ‘virtual CEO’ of 23 multi-million dollar insurance companies between 1993 and 1999. 23 companies? That’s some serious work ethic. Unless, of course, its simply a lie.

I went out with someone once (OK, twice) who claimed to be involved in a medical facility (U of P Teaching Hospital) that did scores of major surgeries a day. She was evidently trying to impress me to increase her chance of taking advantage of my hotness. Turns out, she ran the flower shop in the hospital. So, her statement that she was “involved” was technically true, but selling flowers to guilt-ridden visitors did not qualify her to medical practice competence, as was inferred. Stewart’s claims read the same way: a brief meeting with truth followed by completely fabricated embellishment.

  5. Lissadell says:

So what’s going to happen? There seems to be a consensus about Stewart having lied and being unqualified. Are we going to be stuck with her as insurance commissioner and watch as she dishonors the office? The public needs to know about her because they will vote her into office if they don’t know any better.

  6. Lissadell says:

Forgot to add that Stewart was pretty much unemployed between 1993 and 1999 and after that, too. Except a couple of stints as a clerk in retail stores or as an admin collecting receivables from reinsurers. Hence her financial difficulties that someone else wrote about.

  7. The Liars Abound says:

So who’s the bigger liar, Weldin Stewart or Hartley-Nagle? KHN today took credit for Bluewater Wind and the Army’s decision not to use DuPont’s plant to process VX. On what basis? Why, she talked about it before anybody else. Never mind that, as a barely-employed nobody, she had no standing whatever.

The two of them make Sarah Palin look qualified.

  8. Disbelief says:

Lisadell, we don’t need to worry about Stweart screwing up the good work Denn has done in the Insurance Department because electing her will put Harris McDowell in charge. Electing Stewart will let McDowell screw up the good work Denn has done.
