Register by Saturday!

Filed in Delaware by on October 9, 2008

I know the politically involved who visit DL are probably all registered to vote.  But if you are not, or if you have friends or family members not registered, then if you want a voice in the future of our country, the time is now.

Here is how to register:

• Visit http://elections.delaware.gov and register online.

• Go to your county’s Department of Elections, open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today, Friday and Saturday.  The websites of the three county departments are as follows: http://electionssc.delaware.gov/; http://electionssc.delaware.gov/; and http://electionskc.delaware.gov/

• Mail a printed form to the Department of Elections. It must be postmarked by Saturday.

• Update your driver’s license or get a new one.

You must be a U.S. citizen, a permanent resident of the state and have proof of residency such as a driver’s license, utility bill or lease with name and address on it.

If you already registered, you should have received a card from the Department of Elections in August.  If you did not, or if you are  not sure if you are registered, you can again call the county’s election office or check online at http://elections.delaware.gov for your status.

Well, yes, but the good folks at ACORN can help you get around all that “legality” crap.

Meanwhile you Rethugs throw law abiding citizens off the rolls just because they have similar names to felons.

Yep, and don’t forget the Dallas Cowboys. Terrell Owens is being disenfranchised because he’s black!

My Obama daughter (now lovingly referred to by her parents as “that one”), has received and mailed back her absentee ballot from Arizona…so things are in the works..but you know I don’t trust the mail.
