    Uh Oh! I hear some hedging on this being an initiative. Of course he’d sign SB 4–it wouldn’t get to him until it’s passed to be signed! Shouldn’t he be more on record of wanting this…and encouraging legislators to get on board? BWW served as a nice decoy for him, as a MAJOR issue–but what about some of those neat, smaller, practical, efficient ,economic, goodies hangin’ out w/ the rubberbands, and old postage stamps?

    I agree Joanne. I didn’t like what I heard with regard to trying not to make the legislature’s work more difficult. The answer I was looking for would have been along the lines of “There is no legitimate reason for the General Assembly not to be subject to open government and FOIA laws, and one of the priorities of my administration will be to end the secrecy in Dover.”

    As for the desk drawer veto, he’s correct that the senate makes its own rules, but he could publicly challenge them to change in the name of a better course for Delaware.
