The only thing Joe agrees with you about is Iraq/terrorism. Why? Because he's tied to Israel, of course. Why are the Democrats freaked? Because the GOP wants to move the deep-pocketed, Israel-supporting Jewish vote from the Dems to the GOP. Simple as that. With Cheney voting to break a tie, then the Repubs will control the Senate for the rest of this session. There's still a lot of business to be done before the end of the year. Since either party will be able to easily filibuster an opposition bill, the Senate can be rendered impotent until the new session begins. Hopefully there will then be an absolute Dem majority. With Lieberman on the Repub side, the Senate is split 50/50. With Cheney voting to break a tie, then the Repubs will control the Senate for the rest of this session.
