Text Messages Imminent

CNN has just reported that the vice presidential pick has been asked and he or she has accepted.   The coordination of sending the text messages out has begun.

Now everyone stare at their phones.

WOW….Bill Lee’s first just appeared on CNN….hahahahahaha….he was reading from a pair of cards off screen. You can see his eyes darting slowly left to right, and then back to the left.

Hahaha…he makes John McCain look youthful.

Fake VP announcements sent…even to White House press
    Posted: 03:23 PM ET

From CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney

Obama has yet to name his VP candidate.
(CNN) – Eager VP-watchers waiting for the text message announcement of Barack Obama’s choice of running mate have gotten their answer: It’s Hillary Clinton. And Tim Kaine. And Kathleen Sebelius.

Since declaring the Democratic vice presidential pick would first be announced over e-mail and text message, several hoax announcements of the Illinois senator’s choice have circulated, purporting to be from the Obama campaign.

Hamlin was Lincoln FIRST Veep. But I knew someone would get the Lincoln reference. Kudos to you, DD.

I’m going to have to stare at my computer because I signed up for an instant email. Don’t have that phone stuff.

So even Lincoln, celebrated for his management of the cabinet as he was, completely messed up his second VP choice.

In other news, both Matt Stoller and Steve Clemmons say it is Biden for sure.

Of the prospects, I think only Clark and Biden have the credibility to slap-down McCain when he makes untruthful and unrealistic accusations, especially on foreign and military matters.

  9. Benjamin

My problem in the end has always been that Biden sort of undermined Obama’s claim that experience does not matter.
However, the positive is that Biden will be a terrifi attack dog. So I will take that .
He was not my #1 because of state pride but I could be excited about him AND he has a strong following among older Hillary women which will help.

I hope I get to help Kathleen some other way

Bettin it wont be either one! Economics, Economics…not military, military! Biden will be Sec. of State.

  11. Von Cracker

Yeah – Clark would be my choice, Biden 2nd. Seebilus (sp?) should be a front-runner in ’16, hopefully not ’12!

To go further on what VC said, I certainly intend to contact the Sebelius office and tell them to keep people like me in my mind for future races. I am a BIG fan

House Divided Speech: Joe Biden or Abraham Lincoln?

House Divided — Text of Entire Speech by President Lincoln, 1868

MONEY QUOTE FROM ABE WAS: “We shall not fail – if we stand firm, we shall not fail.”

But Joe Biden’s speechwriter’s relayed it a bit differently:

JOE: INTRO: Well, it’s great to be here! On the steps of the old State House in the land of Lincoln. President Lincoln once instructed us to be sure to put your feet in the right place. Then stand firm. Today, Springfield, I know my feet are in the right place. And I am proud to stand firm for the next president of the United States of America, Barack Obama.

JOE: END OF HIS SPEECH : “And now it’s time for all of us, as Lincoln said, to put our feet in the right place and to stand firm.”

Only Lincoln never said it is time to put our feet in the right place. He said: “We shall not fail — if we stand firm, we shall not fail.”

Speechwriter taking liberties? No biggie! But let the record show:

BUT ABE NEVER SAID IT EXACTLY THAT WAY

it wasn’t plagiarism, but the speechwriter, prob a college intern, lifted a faux Abe quote from the Net. Abe never said it that way. Dummies.
