    There may be hysteria at work and the radon scare may turn out to be just another consumer ripoff. The ’studies’ that were the basis for the concern used people who were more likely to be exposed to radon than most people: coal miners. This is a population with a high lung cancer rate but also one that tends to smoke more than the average person.

    No reaction to the marble countertops and floors in my house by my geiger counter.
