QOD

Filed in National by on June 2, 2008

Should windpower’s costs be spread to all power users in Delaware?

No, and here is why.

For people who want a more esoteric QOD try this two-parter:

Are Democrats just by nature disinclined to value “party unity”, and doesn’t that give Republicans a built in structural advantage?

Democrats have always seemed to be glued together by ‘mutual hatreds’. Party unity is not so much an accurate label for our cohesiveness as is our common fear of the rampant greed, stupidity, Constitutional predation, and hypocritical religious jingoism that has characterized the Bush administration.

Democrats are portrayed in the media in ineffectual ways. The media is complicit in portrayl of everyone except Biden as not tough enough. Biden should keep calling the bullshit out. I know if the democrats in congress resist that democratic party members will unite around the party standard.

I think that Democrats are still trying to get past some of the old school interest group politics, but Dems have less brand loyalty than do Rs. Dems are highly loyal to policies and issues, and, it turns out, there is recent polling that Rs are highly loyal to Dem policies and issues too. I’ll put up a post about it in a day or two.

But the R problem right now is that Rs are seriously unhappy with what their brand stands for in light of BushCo, and given the all around failures of the last 7 years seem to be turning to policies that are more in their own interests.

I wonder if DeLuca and Adams will throw the governor’s race to Markell before they piss off Delmarva Power. With friends like this, who needs the Rs?
